Tripp Skull Lace Dress is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from What are you looking for? Unfortunately not all bodies are created equal, just because you fit a size 2 width, does not mean you'll fit a size 2 length. For reference: I'm 5' 7", wear a size 1x for leggings, size 18 for jeans (comfortably), a 1x or 2x (depends on material) for tops as I am a 40 F in bra size. This dress is awesome!!!. It's a stretchy lace material that is able to connect and disconnect to the underlay solid black spaghetti strap dress, (which means if I don't like the underlay I can get one I do like, but with this dress I do like it. It also allows you to enhance the life span of the lace by having that option to hand wash and hang dry separately). I ordered a 2x, it's not skin tight or too loose, it is form fitting and gives me a nice shape, the arms are a tiny bit loose which I LOVE!!! The dress ends literally right above my knees, which I also LOVE! . Undergarments are ALWAYS a good idea ladies, find one that works best for your body shape. Just click "add to cart". ;)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from an incredibly adorable project The moment I saw this dress I knew I had to have it. I bought it knowing there were likely issues per previous reviews, but I wanted it bad enough that it was worth busting out my super rusty Home Ec. skills. The dress is gorgeous. I love the lace and the sleeves and the collar and the length is perfect for my busty 5'5 frame. Two issues needed addressed however; the floppy collar and the chunky exposed zipper. The collar just needs a bit of starch and an iron on the most delicate setting and it was good to go. The zipper needed a bit more work. I loved the look of it in the picture and on the model, but on me it just did not work. I'm short in the torso and bountiful in the backside department, so suffice it to say that big ol' zipper popped out in like..a bump, right in the small of my back. My solution: I removed the zipper and stitched about 4-5 inches of it closed. I also put in a slimmer zipper that is now hidden when zipped. So tl;dr, it needed some work for it to fit my body perfectly, but so worth it. The choice is yours.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super Cute skulls I'm very busty.. and I purchased my normal size.. it's a little snug up top but it's actually a very flattering fit. The slip portion of the dress could have been a bit smaller and shorter.. but it has adjustable straps, so you can make it a little shorter that way. Overall.. I think this dress is so adorably goth!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute but no shape I loved this dress online and was excited to get it. It has a real Wednesday Adams feel. Unfortunately, it has no shape to it. The skull lace is subtle so it's not overly goth, but it fit me like a potato sack. Maybe I should have gone down a size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not nearly as bad as other reviewers make it out. I bought this because it gave me a really Lydia Deetz vibe, what with the lace and everything. And I have a weakness for Peter Pan collars. Yeah, it's somewhat cheaply made - what do you expect from Tripp, especially in 2015? You just have to be careful with it. I've worn this over and over again and just made sure to be careful to not snag the lace on anything, and it's been fine. The underneath part of the dress is also not longer than the lace on mine, so I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. I've also not run into any zipper issues. This dress makes me look and feel adorable. It's not perfect, but it's not terrible either.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I'm torn... I ordered this dress online and was so excited to get it. I got it in the mail today and tried it on. It's really an awesome dress but there are a couple things that really bother me. The first thing I noticed is that the lining and overlay are not connected, and with the elastic under bust, it allows the liner to slip causing it to go crooked or become too long for the lace overlay. I think if they were sewn together, it would take care of the slipping. The second thing I noticed was that my zipper was getting stuck. Upon removal, I was checking out the zipper to make sure it was ok, and noticed the hems on both sides of the zipper were almost overlapping the teeth causing the material to get stuck in the zipper pull. The hems (photo included) are much too big there. One other small thing is that it seems the collar won't lie flat. It has somewhat of a ruffled floppyness to it. Other than that, I really love the dress. I didn't think I'd like the sleeve length, but once I tried it on, it was fine. I think I'll try it on once more before I decide if I'm for sure going to keep it or not because I'm a bit torn.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely poor quality/ SO unlike the pictures!!! When I saw this dress on Torrid.com, i thought: "Wow- that is the perfect dress!" and I couldn't wait to order it. I got a gift card for Christmas and didn't even LOOK at anything else- just ordered this right away. I saw some negative reviews but dismissed them, so I am begging you, ladies, please listen to my review so you don't have to go through the same disappointment. Overall, the dress appears to have something of a structure around the bust, waist, then flare at the hips, but it is just loose sagging, stretch material. 2nd, the collar is shown as a solid black (it appears this way to me, anyway) but what i got was just the same sheer skull material folded over with no structure to help it keep it's form, so it just keeps going wrinkly and floppy. 3rd, and the worst part, really, is that the inner lining and the outer skull material are not connected, and the lining is AT LEAST 3- 4 inches longer than the skull mesh itself, which just makes me feel like a frumpy fat girl who made this myself in Home Ec. I'm So Disappointed, Torrid. I actually cried, because I thought I had found one of those perfect dresses, and it is just a hot mess. It's actually a good IDEA for a dress, but would take about $20-$25 of tailoring to fix it, so i'll have to return it.
