ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The Torrid Shopping Spree Contest (the "Sweepstakes") is open and offered only to legal U.S. residents of the 48 contiguous states, Alaska, Hawaii and the District of Columbia (excluding U.S. territories and possessions) who are age 14 or older at the time of entry. Employees, directors, affiliates or agents of Hot Topic, Inc. ("Sponsor"), their immediate family and/or those living in the same household are ineligible. By entering Sweepstakes, you (or your parent/legal guardian if you are an eligible minor in your jurisdiction of primary residence, on their and your behalf) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes.

HOW TO ENTER: Sweepstakes will begin on 4/10/09 at 12:01 a.m. (Pacific Time) and end on 5/8/09 at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time). Enter online at Torrid.com, where you may be asked to log-in to your divastyle account or provide your first and last name, mailing address, age, E-mail address (if applicable) and telephone number(s). Collection of personal information will be in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy as posted on Torrid.com. One entry per person per day.

All E-mail entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) on 5/8/09. Once submitted, all entries become the sole property of Sponsor. Proof of entry submission does not equate to proof of timely receipt. Online entrants must be the authorized account holder of the entry E-mail account. If disputed, entry will be deemed submitted by the IP address owner, who is deemed to be the natural person assigned the E-mail address by the Internet-access provider. Any attempts to access the site via script or other brute-force attack will result in that IP address becoming ineligible.

PRIZE: Sweepstakes prize consists solely of: One (1) $500.00 Torrid Gift Card (Approximate Retail Value of Prize: $500.00) that can be used online or in a Torrid Store. Winner is responsible for any and all taxes that may become payable by winner based on approximate retail value of prize. Any and all expenses and/or terms not specifically described herein as part of the prize are winner’s sole responsibility. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.

DRAWING: The Sweepstakes winner ("Winner") will be selected by Sponsor, whose decisions are final, on or about 5/15/09 in a random drawing from among all eligible entries submitted and received. Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received. Winner shall be notified by Sponsor (Sponsor reserves the right to determine method of notification). If Winner fails to respond timely pursuant to such notification, an alternate winner will be drawn from the pool of remaining eligible entries. Winner will be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release. If Winner is a minor, Winner’s parent or legal guardian will be required to execute Affidavit on Winner’s behalf. Prize acceptance constitutes permission to use and publish Winner's name, likeness and biographical information in any and all known media for publicity purposes solely in connection with the Sweepstakes, all without additional compensation, notification, review or approval (except where prohibited by law).

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: By participating in the Sweepstakes, you hereby release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor and its directors, employees, agents, affiliates and/or representatives from and against any and all liability, damages or claims associated with or in any way arising from, in whole or in part, your participation in this Sweepstakes or any Sweepstakes-related activity, and/or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, including without limitation, property damage, personal injury or death. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or tampering of, the Web site, or any technical failure or malfunction. Sponsor is not responsible for any injury or damage to entrants' or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes or the downloading of Sweepstakes-related material (including, but not limited to, server failure, computer virus infection or other malfunction). If, for reasons beyond the control of Sponsor, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as originally planned, Sponsor, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the Sweepstakes, without notice or liability. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these Official Rules or who attempts to disrupt the operation of, defraud or in way tamper with the Sweepstakes or the Torrid.com Web site, and to prosecute to the full extent of the law.
