LOVE So Flattering
I was hoping this would not look like a Christmas Dress, and it doesn't. I wear a 2 but sometime have to take a 20 because of the Bust. I went with an 18 and I couldn't be happier (I read the reviews) I could probably size down to 16 but don't want to feel smashed up top. Lots of room may just get the arms altered

Perfect holiday dress!
I wanted this dress the moment I seen it! I love it! It's the perfect holiday party dress!! I'm very tall so I was worried about the length but I put some tights on and it's all good! So glad I bought it and I can't wait to wear it!

New Favorite Dress!
I’ve always loved Betsy Johnson, but this may be my favorite piece designed by her yet!
I was hesitant to buy because I didn’t like the way the top looked on the model. I have a small bust and an apple-shaped figure and I’m very leggy. I love ruffles and also houndstooth, but I was concerned about the fit of the bodice, and worried it would do that thing where the waist crept up right under my boobs and the ruffles would make my large tummy look even larger.
My fears were unfounded! The ruffles somehow disguised my tummy and the dress looked shorter on me, which elongated my legs. The chest was fitted, not baggy. I appreciated the smocking on the back of the bodice, which helped with the fit of the chest.
I was also concerned about looking like a little kid, but I paired it with the black faux fur crop jacket from the same collection and some black mesh leggings (from Torrid last year) with a sexy crisscross pattern tucked into black ankle boots and the effect will be perfect for a fancy date night or an evening holiday party!

Beautiful!
I love this dress. It is beautiful! I am normally in between a 4 and 5, but got a size 28 and it was perfect. I also ordered a 30, but it was too big in the chest area.
I definitely recommend if on the fence. If you are consistent in sizing, I'd day get your true dress size.

Super cute but runs big
I picked this cute dress up recently before the super sales. I usually wear a 1 or 16 in torrid. I am a 38 DD. The 16 was so big that I had to return it for the next size. I hope to get my 14 before the holiday season is over. I would say it is a great buy .

Bodice too big
I own several of Betsey's dresses and love them. This is the first I had to return. Way too much fabric. I am a 46D and way too big on top for me.

Gorgeous but bad fit
This dress is so pretty but was way too big in the chest area for me (42B-C). There was just sooo much extra material. Aside from that, I’m normally a size 20-22, I got a size 20 but should have went with 18. I’m 5’11” and length wise it was perfect. Not long but not super short.

Beautiful fabric, but big
This is my first Betsey Johnson item. The fabric is beautiful. There's a black tint when the fabric moves that makes it so "rock-glam". At 5"2, it comes to my knees and I wish it was on layer of ruffles shorter. That being said, it runs big. I'm a size 1 in bottoms and 0 in tops... I got a size 14 and it's way too big. I think I could've gone down to a 10. I also replaced the belt for a bigger leather one. The one that comes with the dress is cheaply made and too thin and narrow. It also doesn't tie well because it's too stiff.

Not Flattering at all!
Bought this as a holiday dress for my mom. She hated it. It is not flattering at all. Looks like a big ruffled apron. Gives no shape at all.

Cute but very very short
I was very excited for this dress because after reading reviews that it doesn't run very short-- I'm 5'11--size 22 pants/dress--size 3-4 shirts--46DD bra-- tried this dress on and it BARELY goes past my butt-- I was very very disappointed because it looked great otherwise. I have to make adjustments now because of how short it is--some people may like that, but I prefer my dresses to go midthigh to top of knee-- I am keeping it but going to treat it like a tunic top.

Bodice is LARGE
Bought this online to pick up in a store, and returned it as soon as I tried it on. I wear a 2 in most Torrid dresses, so purchased a size 20 based on the provided size chart. The dress was HUGE in the top. As there were no other sizes in the store, I'm unsure how much I would have needed to size down. In addition, the dress is quite short. I have short legs, so was expecting it to fall knee length...that was not the case.

Cute, but BIG
Was looking forward to this dress but the fit was way too big. Bought a 16 which is my usual size. Didnt realize it had shirring on the back in addition to the babydoll cut which gave it extra strech. I wear a 38DD so i figuered the top would be a good fit for the size i bought. After putting it on there was 3 to 4 extra inches on each side of the top that i could hold out like wings. I could hav sized down 2 sizes and probably would hav fit better. Unfortunately the ruffles weren't working for me either, so the dress went back.

I wanted to love this
I was so excited for this dress to come and to have a piece of Betsey Johnson in my life, but this dress ain't it. The shirring in the back, while making the dress comfortable, made it so that no matter what bra I was wearing, my breasts would not fit into the dress. It almost felt as if the dress was simply too large.
The waist ribbon is really cheap. One side is velvet-y, but the other side is dull gray. The whole thing is really stiff, meaning that it will look forever crinkly when you tie it in a bow, and if you're trying to get dressed yourself, it's almost impossible to get this tied properly. It's difficult for me to tie things behind myself and have a bow look good when I'm a 2X. The top ruffle also kept getting stuck in the ribbon as well as I couldn't tie the bow high enough on my waist.
While I could have tried a smaller size, for the price, I decided not to due to quality reasons. The dress was lacking a solid lining, which is something I would expect in a dress at this price point, my breasts looked awful in it, and the ribbon was really cheap and shoddy. I really wanted to love it and wear it all over the place this Christmas, and I'm really disappointed I had to return it in the end.

This dress is sizes off as per the measurement chart that they supply. I would have to size down 2 - 3 sizes. DO NOT BUY DISCOUNTED PRODUCT BECAUSE YOU CANNOT RETURN THEM.
