This dress runs big, based on the reviews I did size down 1 and very happy that I did because it fits perfect. I love how think the material is for a "denim look" I would compare it as thin and breathable as linen it does wrinkle also but not as bad as a linen. I'm 5'9 this hits mid calf I typically wear a 16, the size 1 is perfect.

Perfect summer dress.
I bought this dress to use as a casual summer dress. I love it. It has pockets and the cut flatters my figure very well. I tend to be wider in the bottom with a little belly. And this dress looks nice on me. It pairs well with sábeles and a summer hat.

Great dress for twirling
The dress is made of light weight fabric. It’s not denim! If you are looking for denim keep it moving. This dress has a very full skirt that will add volume to your look depending on body type. I found the dress to run a little large due to the elastic panel in the back of the bust area and it has a large full skirt great for twirling. Lol The buttons are all properly attached which something that doesn’t happen with a lot of torrid clothes. I’m 5ft 2 and felt the length was fine. It was great to have an option for a summer dress that doesn’t make you look like you escaped from from a lifetime movie cult or Had a sleepover at the little house on the prairie. It does wrinkle. The pictures I’ve included are after wearing it for about 10hrs or so and playing with a dog etc.

It's exactly as pictured! It looks like a dark denim dress, but super light and flowy! The midi length is a must for me. I'm 6', so I only buy the midi or maxi . It hits me a few inches below the knee. The pockets are great!

A lot of people think because of the color that this is a blue Jean material dress, but it’s not. The fabric is very light and airy. I like this a lot. Fits me true to size. I love the color as well. Yes you should definitely order this one.

Sz 6 / what I expected!
Love this dress, fits like my other dresses in this style from previous seasons. I'm pear shaped, with my bottom half being on the larger end of Torrid's size 6/30. This shape dress is wonderful for my build, appreciate the smocked back for a good fit. Length on me is about mid calf, I'm 5'4" and that's the length with my wide hips, booty and belly taking up a bit of the length - would prefer 2" longer but it's better than the maxis that are way too long for me. Easy to dress up or down. Fabric is what I expected after reading about it and has a nice grain, although I'm not sure I'd call it chambray. Faux buttons which I have mixed feelings about. Not lined as another reviewer stated but I prefer that. I can always add my own slip or t-shirt or other layers if I WANT but appreciate anything that eliminates extra heat or bulk. Bought this the day it was released and have already worn it a few times, love love love. This size can be complicated when you can't just size up so I've started reviewing my purchases on YT if you search amanda_fatandfree to help understand what you're getting and make informed decisions for your dollars.

So I am quite pleased with my dress. I know how lyocell looks and feels and I got exactly what I was expecting! I love it! Fitted enough on top with the fly away, show no stomach bottom. I usually wear some type of cardigan bcuz of my flabby arms, but a good bra and shapewear takes care of any possibility of "rolls". Worn with sneakers in the pic, but easily transforms with a cute sandal. I will get plenty of use out of this one! I'm 5'3, sz 1 & 38DDD. ❤

Exactly what I wanted!
I absolutely love this dress! I’ve been trying to find a good basic dress that can be dressed up or down and this is it! It fits beautifully and is super comfy! The lightweight fabric is perfect for spring and summer!
My only minor negative experience with it is that the blue rubbed off onto my hands a tiny bit.
But overall it’s awesome and I love it!

I received this as a gift from in stores and the fabric is soft and cute. I saw I’m one review that stated it was darker than the picture (it is) and it’s shiny. When you’re making an investment in clothing and spending more than $20-30 on clothing, take the time to research the material to understand how it feels, how flexible it is, and how it might look. You’d be surprised what you can find on Google.

I want to like the dress bc I have many others from torrid. However this dress feels cheap. The fabric is very shiny and thin. Wrinkles easily. I’ll keep for pool days for something to throw on but not what I intended to use it for.

I really do like this dress my only issue is the length , I find this to be a hard length to wear, probably just my body type. Also its a bit heavy on the volume and pleating. Its a nice cool option for spring/summer though and I love the chambray. Just maybe not the best style for me personally

Weird color
The material does not look like the dark denim in the photos. It has a weird, shiny sheen to it that reminds me of an umbrella or garbage bag. Will be returning.
