Great fabric
Best if worn with a belt, in my opinion. The fabric is great for warm weather, but can be worn with a cardigan and tights when it’s cold.

Nice material!
Bought this for a date night and it fits nicely. I sized up because they were out of my size and I really wanted this dress but with the help of the belt, you couldn’t tell it was too big. I agree with the reviews I read before I purchased that it definitely needs a belt to give it some shape. I love the material. Only thing I would change would be to have the pockets lower.

Cute Dress
Starting a new job with a new me and this dress was perfect! I’ve never been a dress wearer but this dress was a great way to start! The pockets were a nice surprise. I felt comfortable wearing this dress. I was nervous because my legs are chunky and I’m short (5’3) but the length was just where I wanted it to be!

Great staple dress
Loved this dress! Perfect length and material. Im not a huge fan of having my arms exposed so the sleeves were great and the thin material makes its a very light dress. I had the dress on for a winery visit in Mexico all day out and about and it has great! Only reason I didn't give a 5 star was the chest room was a little tight felt I would pop open a button. If I had picked a bralette probably would have been a better choice than a regular bra.

So Soft
This dress is buttery smooth! I love how soft it is. I bought it in my regular size 00. Only complaint is the top is just a little snug around my boobs. But if you have smaller than a 40DDD breast it should fit perfectly.

Buttons Gappy
Wanted to love this. It’s so soft and really cute with a belt as pictured in the image (not included but needed imo). The buttons over the boobs are just not strong enough or there needs to be a back panel to cover the gaps because my boobs are straight up showing. I’m a 48C, size 3 and Torrids clothes are not tight across my chest in anything else. Need to wear a tank underneath which is ok I guess but wish I didn’t.

needs A belt !!!
I am wearing this to work today and it is super cute and comfy i feel like i am in pjs, the only down side is you need to add a belt to this style. I wish it came with one. i also sized up in this dress so i didnt get the normal boobs popping buttons situation. and that was a good idea besides the waste being big but a belt would fix all these problems.

Great if you are a pear.
I am apple shaped (or blueberry shaped, as I like to say) so this dress did not do me any favors. I'm sure if you are pear shaped it'd look amazing but us apples? Not so much..

All-around only OK.
Pros: Challis is soft and black is classic.
Sleeves were a good length with working wrist buttons.
Decent length.
Cons: Definitely needs a belt for styling. I asked for an an attendant to bring me one when I was trying on, because I literally couldn't even guess without.
High-set pockets so when worn with a belt, my pockets were half-blocked.
The part of the pocket that wasn't blocked, flared out awkwardly.
Bust buttons gaped open, pulling and looking unflattering.
I buy almost all my casual dresses in a size 3, or fitted dresses in a 20-22.
This was loose-fitting, except at the bust buttons.
As a seamstress, I can tell you it is because the arm-scythe is made too wide, so that arm movements pull unduly on the front button placket. This is common on non-stretch Torrid dresses with sleeves. When you raise your arms, the *whole dress* wants to ruck up because of the overlong/wide arm scythe with a narrow front-shoulder allowance... it doesn't matter whether it is belted or not.
I almost bought this dress as an upgraded (with pockets!) silky button-down night dress... because even styled with a belt the blocked pockets and gappy bust was just not suitable for day-wear/work-wear for me.
Sizing up would not fix the issue. Sizing down MIGHT, but only because there is a big difference between the size 2 and size 3 cuts I've noticed. I doubt sizing down would help the gaping buttons, though.

This dress is a bit tight across the bust, so if you are top heavy you def need to order a size up. I ordered my reg size (1) and didnt like the fit. 5 ft 8- 260 lbs bra size 40DD

Not flattering
The pockets stick out in a really weird way, it makes it seem like my hips are a lot wider than they are, and they're constructed in a way that it wouldn't be very clean to just sew them shut. Very disappointing, especially since it's not a cheap dress.

Fits Weird
I bought this a size up because I’ve noticed a problem with tops gaping around the buttons on the shirt dresses that don’t have more of a Henley style. It was waaaay too big and the top didn’t gape. Barely. The pockets stuck out weird on the sides and it really does need a belt. But that made the pockets stick out more. I returned it and ordered a size down and that one gaped at to top so my bra was showing and the pockets stuck out weird on this one as well. I had thought the first might have just been sewn wrong but apparently that’s the way it’s made. Sleeves are very long. Length is good. I really wanted to like it so I waited a day or two and tried it again. It’s just not good. Too bad because I love the way it looks in the photo. Retuning the second dress too.
