Rated 5 out of 5 by jen28283847 from very pretty I bought this in my normal size 12 (im 5'5 and 215 lbs) and it fit perfectly. I do agree with the other review that the petticoat is done in a very cheap way but I do love the volume it gives, I just wish it had a smoother appearance. but overall im keeping and I hope I get the opportunity to wear it out! the color is rich and dark which is so much nicer than just plain red

Rated 5 out of 5 by poetsera from A Great Christmas Dress I love this dress! The style is perfect. The only thing that wasn't super apparent based on the photos online were the almost black streaks throughout the fabric. It isn't your playful red Christmas dress, but more of an alternative Christmas dress for a night party. Overall, love it though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fallingleaf from Great Holidays dress I took a leap and bought this dress right when it dropped. I knew I consul return it easily if it did work out. This dress definitely worked out I absolutely love it. This dress has a vital dress feature, pockets! The dress also has a built in petticoat so it flares out nicely. I’m 5’5 and this hits right above the knee for me. I plan on wearing it with my torrid black fleece lined leggings and a black cardigan for my Holiday photos.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ZanaDu from So close! I drooled on the keyboard, so I bought this dress the first time I saw it. Now? Hmm,.. we'll see if I keep it. Pros: The color is DELICIOUS (a cranberry type color). It's just a little shiny, very smooth, I love the wide horse-hair hem that gives the skirt definition and style. I love the length, I love that it has a longer waistline so it's not an empire on me, despite my busty frame and sits just above my natural waist. The straps are adjustable, narrow, and delicate looking. Pockets on a party dress? YES! Please! Torrid, keep that feature up!! Neutral, but worth noting: It is not a stretch waist/back, so the dress has no stretch. Cons: I have a sneaking suspicion this fabric will spot like **crazy** with ANY moisture and stain... such as under the arms. The petticoat is *very* stiff and done in a cheap way... it doesn't make a soft swish-swoosh sound from nice netting, its very much the sound of crinkling/scratching like small animals when I move. The top is reinforced with a thin foam liner, which makes the bust area boxy shaped on my Size 3, with **lots** of room to spare in the top (despite my 42DDD bust)... so since I can't fill it, there is added fabric that ruins the shape on the top. I adjusted the straps (YAY, thanks Torrid!)... but the foam lining makes the added fabric on the top of the dress (in the sideboob area) flare out which shows my bra. Girls who are more busty than me, might LOVE this added room up top in a nice party dress but for me, it was a downer. I am between a 2 and 3.. and usually size up and then make alterations if necessary. (I hate returning things in the time of COVID!) but sizing down would have been better for me on this dress because of the top, but keep in mind there isn't stretch... the waist seemed to fit me loosely, but nicely.. not baggy in a size 3. I still might return it. It has a lot of pros,... but a lot of cons for me.
