Beautiful color
I got this jacket for my daughter, blue is her favorite color and the color of this jacket is beautiful. I love how it's the perfect length to over a dress. I oder a size up so she can wears it over dresses we go to a lot of weddings and it perfect for special occasions. It is not to heavy which my daughter loves, it has good pockets and is just a beautiful jacket all around.

Totally a bath Robe
The color & design are beautiful. Sleeves are easy to push up. And the side slits are sexy. Functional pockets, had to cut a small seam at opening to access them. Bought my regular size 3 and was able to tie the sash but it does loosen easily.
Honestly I bought this just to use as a bathrobe, its so comfortable, slick, fresh, thin, and smooth right after a nice shower. I know this is NOT the intention of the “trench coat” but it worked for me & I love it!

Amazing Color
This coat is absolutely beautiful. I love the color! I cannot wait to wear it on New Years Eve! The only negative is the shipping process. If Torrid is going to continue to raise its prices it needs to update how they ship our items. The coat came folded up in a bag. It's rayon and now it's extremely wrinkled. I have to dry clean the coat before i can wear it

Fancy runs smaller
I bought the green lace Trench recently and in comparison this one runs small. Not enough to size up, but definitely hard to move the arms and didn't meet as well in the middle. I loved the color of this coat and the pattern, but it is a little on the fancy side. I don't get enough opportunities to justify a pricey closet warmer in case I find the right time and place to wear it.

Attention: Runs Small
Love the color and I love this coat but please make sure to size up if you want it to close and not just wear it opened. I have several similar trench coats from previous years and they’re usually a 2 or 3 but this time I had to get a 4. This might be an item you want to try in the store and not just order online based on your previous sizes because it’s gonna fit different.

Color is amazing and received so many compliments. I did size up because narrow at hips and belly. Not sure they call it a coat- very light weight and was a little overpriced but got it on discount.

I seem to struggle with having no self control over kimono's, trench coats, jackets, ..any kind of layering-piece. This was no exception.
Pro's- beautiful color, great lapel and sleeve details. Nice length, deep cut side slits and the pattern is rich looking.
Con's- I had purchased the copper color trench last year and love it, heavy fabric and lays better on the body. This does not. Extremely thin and doesn't look as "rich". This has a blend of rayon and I promised my self I wouldn't purchase anything with rayon..to much upkeep. Runs small, I ordered a 2 but had to return to store for a 3. I think it's over priced so I would wait until it went on sale. But I would buy it.
Last of all, Torrid thank you for offering pieces that are classy and professional. I will wear this and no doubt get compliments on it, just not made as well as I had hoped.

The color and feel of the fabric is really lovely, and I truly appreciate actual pockets - really can't take those for granted. However, the fabric is much thinner than you'd guess from the photos, and it wrinkles like crazy. Between the thin fabric and the tie-only closure, these feels a bit more like a kinda sexy kimono bathrobe than outerwear. The sizing works better for that, too, since it does feel sized a little small. On top of all that, the coat itself if marked "Dry Clean Only", even though the product description says cold water wash & hang to dry.

I tried it on in the store and fell in love with the color, which I never wear! But it looks so elegant on!
That said, the lapel lining is not fixed and so hard to iron and keep smooth. The seams have a tendency to loose threads/fuzz. The pickets are functional one you very carefully and gently open with a seam ripper.
For the right body fit I sized up by two, but then the sleeves are a bit too long.
It doesn't come across as so shiny in-person, even after ironing.
