When basics meets awesome
Everyone needs a basic black dress in her wardrobe that's dressy enough to be worn to formal occasions but casual enough to be used for non formal events too. This dress knocks that out of the park and pretty much fires on every possible cylinder. It can be dressed up or down with ease, it's long enough to work in winter with layers under it, but light enough to be cool in the summer. It looks stylish but not so eye-catching that you couldn't wear it to a funeral and still be respectful if you had to. It moves well, doesn't feel heavy at all despite having a lot of fabric and the length is great for anything from flats to heels to boots. It also packs well. It's a perfect stock piece that I'd take on any trip because I could use it for almost any occasion in almost any setting. It's a basic piece that doesn't feel or look one bit basic and I feel great in it. LOVE THIS DRESS.

It’s a yes for me!
I love this beach baby doll! It quickly became my favorite thing and 90% of my clothes are Torrid! How ever I actually cried when it some how go lost on our family vacation. It’s a 100! For me go get it. And torrid please bring the black back!!!!!!

I received this dress along with the printed one in a size 1. And I like both of them. I am 5’7 and they both come to my ankles. It’s roomy and comfortable great for hot summer weather! You could wear this as a cover up, out on a date, or to run errands. Pair it with a denim jacket or without. The sleeves are a nice length as well. Make more colors, and add pockets!! I would definitely recommend..

I’m not one to usually wear dresses but I thought I’d try this lightweight black cotton dress. It fits well and I like it so much that I bought a patterned one as well. I wear a 2 or 3 in torrid sizes, but I can fit in either size, the 3 is just roomier.

I originally bought this dress in the tropical print. After wearing it and getting so many compliments on the dress I bought this in black. The dresses are SO comfortable, airy, light and cute. I didn't melt as much as I normally would. I know this dress is for the summer season, however, it would be really pretty if paired with a holiday belt. It would be easier to hide flats in this as well. I won't be putting these dresses away for any season.

I think this is now my go to dress for something casual. It’s flowing and lightweight, which is great for Florida. I don’t find that it is see-through. I wish it was available in other colors, black is just too hot for the summer and I’m not a fan of the animal print. I should note that I’m 5’9”, And it just about touches the ground, if you are short, this may not be the dress for you unless you don’t mind it, dragging on the ground
