Orange...not red!
Two summers ago, Torrid had a number of dresses in this style. There was a floral grey one, a black one, an olive green one, a light coral one, and probably more...I bought each one of them and have worn them over the last three summers. Needless to say they are my favourite summer dress. When I saw this dress, I thought I would get it to add to the rotation. According to the Torrid description the dress is red or grenadine, but in fact it is orange. I would have loved to have this dress in RED and maybe Torrid might consider making this dress in red, but this one is ORANGE. I still love it. It is the perfect simple thrown on dress for summer, especially our hot and steaming summers. It is a bit see through, but I always wear a pair of Torrid shape wear shorts underneath due to the chub rub, so I'm not too worried about that. If you love orange and a lightweight summer dress this one is perfect. And it has pockets!

I love this style/shape of dress. The neckline, the "hanky" hem, and the X cross on the back. I own a black one and a really pretty deep red. I knew going in that this dress was a bold color but it's even more vibrant in person, a Velma from scooby doo type color. It's not awful by any means but I couldn't see myself wearing it outside my house. I see from another review Torrid used to sell this dress in wayyy more colors 2 summers ago, PLEASE bring them back!! I would buy them in every color (except this one, sorry.). If I can only beg for one color please try a nice olive green color. I hope this gets to the right people so I can show off more of these dresses.
