Heavy, well made.
I kept seeing this dress online, and had it in my cart multiple times, but chickened out. I finally got the courage to get it, and I am not disappointed. The dress is heavy, but strapless, so maybe not good for a hot day, but great for any other day. Can dress up or dress down. Looks cute regardless.
I am 5'4. I normally wear a size 1, and this is a size 1.

I bought this dress for my 50th wedding anniversary. I loved it but thought it was just a tad too big so I was going to exchange it for a smaller size. I ended up returning it because I saw another velvet dress that I fell in love with. Otherwise I would have kept this one.

The most gorgeous cut
This has got to be the best cut of dress I have tried in velvet. Typically any sort of body imperfections are highlighted by both cut and fabric, but this somehow did none of the things I expect from velvets. Super cute and luxurious feel, with a surprisingly sturdy fabric

Torrid has had so many great holiday outfits this year!! I'm pairing this one with the eyelash crop jacket (I'm not a fan of my arms). It's so cute, a bit dressy for the office but an evening out - it's a perfect outfit.

Prettier than expected
Love the fit — for reference: I’m 5’5”, 253lbs, Apple Shaped, Top Heavy, 38G, typically between a Torrid size 16/18 or (1/2) - very comfortable dress, saw online, went in to the store to try it on out of curiosity & had to purchase. I don’t think I’d pay full price, but I had a 10% off and some rewards so it was worth it!

I wore this dress to see a friend act in a play, and I got a ton of compliments. The fit is great! I saw someone complaining about it being small in the chest but I'm a 44DDD and got a size 2 and it fits my chest fine. Very classy and comfy!

A perfect dress! I bought the green tropical because we're Irish and I have the green velvet shoes. I'm a 16 and the 0 my usual was fine. It fits and looks great! Really like the print- the Mr. loves it too! Hope they make it in other prints or colors too!

I gave 5 stars so that my opinion wouldn’t get buried as so often happens. I really would have given 3 stars. This dress has a beautiful material and print, and has a nice calf length, though it is not made for an actual sizable bust. The picture on the site depicts the tight part on top to end at the high waist. In real life it ends right under my breasts. I am 5’10” with 42 DD bra size and typically wear a size 3. I got the 3 and that bust is looking like an empire cut dress. This seems to happen with every dress I have ever bought from torrid. If I try to size up it’s too loose and doesn’t look right and doesn’t fix the problem.
A bit disappointed that a store that specializes in plus size clothing designed a dress that only looks right on the size 00/0 models they keep using.
