This dress is really cute and a departure from the midi/tea length. I read through the reviews and not sure why so many are about bad fit, and it not passing the "bend test". Why would you be bending over in a dress!?! Any who, I'm 5'5", 42"DDD and the dress hit just above the knee, the waist just under the bust, and the V neck not too deep. Volume was just enough to feel girly and flirty. I think it's a winner :)

Love it! Super cute, fun and flirty. I did size down in this dress after trying on different sizes. It has pockets too! I’m 5ft 6in and it is short so that’s something to think about if your self conscious of showing your legs. I highly recommend! Go buy it now!

Perfect for Fall
Tried this on in store today, this dress is adorable. Super flattering and will look amazing in the fall with a pair of boots. I am so happy to see some variety in the length of Torrid dresses, so many of the dresses are midi and make me look shorter than I am. I'm 5'10" and wear size 2, I could absolutely bend over in this dress without flashing anything.

Love this dress! It is short, but I’m ok with that. I don’t typically do a lot of bending over when wearing a dress anyway. I’m 5’8” size 10-12, 40dd and usually wear a 0-1. I bought both sizes and feel like the 0 was the best fit on this one. Looks super cute with tall or short boots.

I indecisive with it. It is cute, but made me feel puffy. I like the colors and the concept. I do wish it was longer. Maybe even if the slip underneath was more fitted. Because the dress makes you feel a bit exposed. But with some biker shorts it would be fine.

Please make a longer version!! This dress is so gorgeous, I would totally snap it up if it was midi length. I have a big booty and cannot wear these short dressed (any bending over gives the whole world a view). I think it would also be more flattering to most of us if it covered the knees.

Just missed the mark
Torrid often has a beautiful dress with an awful pattern but the pattern on this one is beautiful. The cut is almost there but the bust line sets way too high and too much material in the skirt. Looked like I was 9 months pregnant.

I wanted to love this dress because of the print. So cute! But I will be returning it. I can see why those with a booty, don't like it. It rides up in the back. And for those with a bigger bust, the cinched in waist doesn't sit as it does the model. It rides up and made me look pregnant.

Way too much fabric in the skirt and it adds like 6 inches of extra width to each hip. Really weird. If they ever had anything at the store I would maybe try to size down.

This dress is so conflicting- The print is gorgeous. There is golden threading throughout the dress that bring a subtle and intricate delicacy to the print that is incredibly beautiful. That being said, I very sadly had to rate this dress down because of where the fabric hangs. I have an hourglass figure and the dress filled in my lovely waistline. It made my silhouette bulky and I didnt have any of my natural shape in this dress. I did not buy it as I was fortunately able to try it on in a store and I didnt like how my shape was lost in the layered fabric.

Beautiful puffy fabric
Just arrived and I’ve been so excited to try it on and I’m not too happy with the fit. It feels very puffy and it doesn’t lay well, I look wide. Disappointed because the fabric is beautiful and the gold shimmer is perfect but the cut, and fit are off. I will be returning.

I saw this dress online and I had to have it. I figured I would wait till a sale to buy it so it so it went to my wishlist. While doing a pickup order I catch it hanging. I impulsively brought it at a online price match and my 10% off got it at a great price. The print it gorgeous the sleeves fit wonderful that’s the only positive. Like many reviewers said it sits frumpy on the body. Gives no shape just not flattering. I don’t hate the length Will be returning in the am.

This dress is more like a babydoll top for me. I am 5’11 and if I were to raise my hands, you’d see my butt. I was debating on keeping it and pairing it with leggings, but it wouldn’t look right with the length. I loved the colors and the pattern too :(
Torrid, I love your clothes, but maybe consider keeping heights in mind for dresses. Maybe off different lengths of the same dress because just like with pants, length matters!

Tried in store today and I wasn’t really sold. The ruffles/extra material added to my hips (like dresses with pockets sometimes) and I thought the waistband sat too high under my chest not hiding my tummy. I’m 5’9” 240lbs+ hour glass and usually stick to fit&flare/skater dresses. I didn’t do the bend over test like some of reviews here but I could def see one pairing with a Jean jacket and boots.

Just received it today. Wanted to love it...but can't. Easily a size too big, and as someone else commented, voluminous!!! Length was great for this 5'2" flat-butted girl, but nothing else fit. Very long sleeves. Pockets added unwanted volume. Please don't laugh too much at the pic!

I bought this dress despite the one review it had that mentioned that it was too short. I was hoping that my bottom was smaller than it is and that the model and I were the same height. I guess I was wrong because when I got the dress, it was definitely too short. I thought this dress would be perfect to wear to work as a substitute, so that sucks. It really is a cute dress, I just wish I could wear it without showing the whole world my ass.

I bought this dress for my sister’s bridal shower in October. When I pulled the dress out of the package, I thought that it was a nice looking dress. I loved the pattern and the subtitle gold mini stripes. But when I tried it on, I was disappointed. First, the v-neck was lower than I thought. It can be easily remedied by wearing a cami. But the deal breaker was the length. I’m only 5’2.5”, but I have a big butt. When I did the bend test, the hem came up high. And it’s not in a good way. If the length was at least midi, then it would have been a keeper. But because this is not, it’s going back sadly.

I love most of the torrid dresses but the fabric on this made me look bigger, it was too voluminous and I have an apple shape. Also, I’m 5’5 and it was very short on me. The design is pretty but I wish it was a different fabric and the sleeves were also too puffy for me.
