It's so fluffy
So I've been living in NC for like 10+ years and this was my very first winter coat since moving here. I bought it in a size 6 cause thats the only size my store had available for pick up.
This coat is like wearing a fluffy marshmallow. I love the travel strap. My only complaints are more from personal preference, like wishing the sleeves were a little longer and it was available in other colors.
But overall, I'm happy with this purchase. I love the cost. Definitely looking forward to wearing it when it finally gets cold enough.

GREAT FOR AK WINTERS!
Warm and comfortable. The “backpack” straps are a plus. I’m glad I read other reviews or I would’ve been so confused, lol.
Fit is true to size. Even w/waist cinched it still has a boxy look *read unflattering. Alaska winters don’t allow a gal to be overly concerned about fashion. This jacket is deliciously warm and pink is my fave so it’s a win-win.

Love this coat!
I recently bought this coat and was a little hesitant about the color but I actually like it a lot. It's warm, cute, and functional. I like the strap on the inside. It's very unique. I was confused about what it was for at first but then I realized you put your arms through the strap like a backpack and the coat feels more secure and it allows to to take it off partially if you need to. So if I'm driving or eating at a restaurant I'll just slip it off and it's out the way. I love that feature. It's not necessary but it's different and I love it.

Finally!
Finally a long coat that fits over my bottom! I am so happy I was able to scoop this parka!! It is constructed well and is nice and warm for the winter that has now set in! The lining is so soft and warm, and it's even in the pockets!! I like the drawstring waist so it can give me some shape, but I can also let it out if I am layering up underneath. I bought a 2 and it's roomy...maybe could have gone with a 1, but I am a pear shape and this way I know I can layer and it won't be snug on my butt. Best parka purchase I have made in a very very long time!! Happy girl here!

I have needed a new winter coat and I really hate puffer coats. This is the coat for me. But at first I was confused what the long snapped in strap on the inside were for until I read someone else's review, thank you! What a great idea to be able to carry your coat hands free if it gets too warm.

MYSTERY SOLVED
I just picked mine up and when I got home and opened it up I too found the ever mysterious travel strap. I did some google sleuthing and the answer is this: it is intended to be worn like backpack straps so if you’re out and about but want to take off your coat you can carry it hands free! Over all 10/10 I finally think Torrid might be getting something right

Dream coat I needed
I just pulled the coat out of the box and fell in love with the color all over again. I was hoping that this year would be the year they put out a good coat for those of us that are short.
I'm 5'2" and the hoods on the 8 coats I have owned from Torrid have swallowed my head which is not helpful for walking.
The sleeves have what they call "belting" that is keeping the coat from covering my whole hand, and the added belting goes up the sleeve a bit kind of creating a seal so no cold goes up the arms.
I adore the magnetic closure although I wish the pockets had the magnetic closure too.
The coat comes zipped up and with the double zipper I learned you have to pull both zippers down further than you think they go. I personally love having the double zipper, it makes sitting easier, you just pull the bottom zipper up a little giving room for bigger thighs.
I absolutely never wear coats while driving, they are either to bulky or the sleeves are annoying due to length or the bottom part of the coat is so tight around my thighs when I sit in the car. The requirements for coats have been met with this coat.
This is definitely the dream coat I needed.
