This little number is so cute and comfy. I absolutely love it. I used the model for inspiration and paired it with a white tee and white chunky sneakers. I was getting complements all day long. I had no issues with the material as it is cool and comfortable, and I had no issues with the straps.

Great Dresss
I love this dress. I haven't worn it yet but plan to wear it with a shirt underneath. I tend to run warm and it is a little heavier than most dresses so I will wear it in the fall and winter when it is cooler.

Great material and love the retro vibe! This item is true to size and washes well. I bought several different colored t-shirts to switch up the "look" when I wear this dress from bright pink to pale blue and white as pictured on Torrid's site. The ability to adjust the strap length with the buttons is really nice. It gives me the perfect fit. Whenever I wear this dress, I get a lot of compliments and you will too! It has become one of my wardrobe "staples." If I want to dress it up a bit, I wear it with a long-sleeved lace or mesh body suit.

I think this is a nice dress. I love the overall look. The fabric is nice and doesn’t seem to get too hot. I’ve paired it with several shirts and it looks nice. I ordered in my normal size and I like the fit. Definitely worth a try if you’re thinking about it!

I absolutely love this dress! First of all, be aware you’re only getting the dress. It does not come with the white shirt (easily understood if you read the description). This dress is so adorable and comfortable. The straps come with buttons and extra holes that you can adjust to your liking. I this dress in size 1. I’m a shorty, so the dress fits just below the knees. I intend on getting a white shirt to go along with it as shown in the model, but it looks super cute without it. It’s just a matter of preference.

MY FAULT! I did not read the description (reading is fundamental I always say). The dress did not come with the shirt underneath it. That is what sparked my interest. Other than that I love the dress. It's comfy and fits very well. I haven't worn it out or washed it yet, so how it holds up is another story. You probably know like I do if you are an avid Torrid shopper it can be a hit or miss. I did this review to help bring the score up. It does not deserve to have a 2.8.

Ok But Could Better
I like the style but here’s some of my observations. The material is light weight, but is swishy like a thin nylon jacket. I’m about 5’8/5’9 and the dress falls mid calf with a size 1. I would have liked it to be more knee-length. The straps are adjustable with buttons on the inside back, but strangely the buttons were sewn on the black fabric with white thread. You can’t see the tread on the outside but thread would’ve been more sensible. The adjustable straps with buttons also don’t make sense as on the smallest length, the straps still slip on my shoulders. It would’ve made more sense to use the regular adjusters instead of spaced out buttons. I kept it despite these areas for improvement, and I wear it with the black polka dot crew neck T-shirt.

Wonderful style
I bought this in a 2, because my hips are wide and I've been feeling bigger lately. However, I should have bought it in my regular top size of 1 because - for me - it had plenty of room. The back of the top has elastic smocking, so it has the ability to stretch to fit, and there's actually quite a lot of gathering at the waist (empire waist). The one thing I will say is that I bought a shirt to go with it that wasn't a crew neck, and this went up so high that a crew neck is a must for a look similar to the model.

I don’t agree with the other review, this dress looks just like the model photos and is super cute and flattering! I wish Torrid would make more midi dresses, since the minis are just way too short for me when I don’t always want to wear tights. The poplin material is textured, so I guess that might be why they think it’s scratchy. I was hoping this would be more lightweight because of the fact it’s cotton, but it’s lined with a thicker polyester or rayon slip that makes it a lot heavier feeling, and not as cool as I wanted. I guess I can’t complain since otherwise it might be see through.
The straps feel sturdy to me, and have 2 extra holes on each so they’re adjustable. Will look super cute with different shirts underneath and being able to choose how much I want visible. Overall I’m still really happy with this purchase!

I like it.. no bust room
I just bought it and it’s gorgeous but there is no bust room. I’m not sure why, it fits perfect everywhere else which is frustrating because it felt like I had to be sausaged into the dress but once I put it on it fit perfectly fine. The straps worry me a bit as well. I usually always order dresses in a 1 or 2 depending on the fabric and by all means thus dress should have fit. I have am a B cup and my bust feels squished. I like it I just wish it was stretchier around the bust

I had to staple the strap
Like others said, one of the buttons on the strap fell off while I was just sitting in my cube at work. I had to staple it together to get through the rest of the day. For as expensive as this dress was, what the heck? Why did this even happen?

I really like this dress, but—and it’s a big one—this dress is super hard to get on and off. It fits once it’s on true-to-size, but it’s like shoving yourself into a shirt two sizes too small to get it on. In fact, my partner had to help me out of it. It’s cute though.

Very Pretty But Too Long
I thought this dress would fall just below the knee like the style was in the late 90s. It goes down to my ankles. I'm 5 ft 2in. It is pretty. I will still wear it......but.... not was what is expected. Especially as someone who wore this style of dress originally.

No cotton in this dress
I bought this dress and size based on it was a cotton dress from the description. It has no cotton in it. The dress is lined and the straps are somewhat adjustable in the back. It’s cute but not breathable. If I would have known the true material of this dress and the lining, I would have skipped purchasing it.
