Solid choice, thick band
These are very similar to the standard performance core shorts (not see-through even when you bend, light compression, etc). Most of the fabric is the same fabric as Torrid's other athletic shorts, but the band at the top is ribbed instead. That's no big deal at all for me (it's very comfortable), but because the band fabric is ribbed, it's a little bit thicker than usual. If you're like me and use your bike shorts as shapewear sometimes, just know that the band on these will probably leave a line under your clothes. Also, I can't be sure about this, but I suspect that the band may not be as moisture wicking as the other fabric, so if you work out in these you may end up with a sweatband around your waist. Still not a deal breaker depending on your use for these shorts, but something worth noting! I decided to buy the regular performance core shorts instead because I usually do high intensity workouts, and the reg performance shorts are just more useful to my lifestyle, but that's just personal preference. Theres nothing wrong with this product at all, and these shorts would probably match the ribbed sports bra nicely.
