Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too cute This coat is not as heavy as it looks. Very thin material, great feel on the lining. Sleeves have a elastic panel to allow for bigger arms. Coat is machine washable but will need ironing or steaming out of the package. The buttons do need a little tightening.. The hood is large but if you watch the Outlander show, Claire doesn't have it all the way around her head. Now to the cuteness. The fur is not enough for me so I purchased matching fur cuffs on Amazon. It sent the cuteness factor off the charts. I have not worn this coat and not gotten compliments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly Unique and Lovely Purchase online a month ago. Love this coat!!! Only issue (as is with many Torrid coats) is I have to see the buttons on with a QUALITY coat/button thread and add the small Clare button on the back of the stitching. Torrid buttons on coats always come off due to poor quality button thread. Other than that, it is adorable, sexy, lightweight (for us girls who are a stoked furnace at all times) and the fur around the hood is so beautiful. And ..it's from the outlander collection! The plaid on the inside of the hood is a perfect touch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME COAT! I saw this and fell in love immediately! I love the style and it fits like a charm! The coat pairs nice witj my pair of brown boots. I'm totally satisfied with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super cute! So glad I purchased this jacket. It is light weight and runs a bit small so you may want to size up if you want to wear a heavier sweater to be warm. The style is flattering as it is tucked in at the waist and has the longer length in the back. The faux fur is cute but isn't all that thick so it has a tendency to flatten out easily. The lining is awesome and has a nice quality to it. The color is more of a greenish brown than the picture shows but it is still pretty. This was a definitely a wish list purchase but so glad I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful jacket Absolutely love the cut of this jacket-very flattering. This jacket is very lightweight, fits true to size so if you plan on layering size up. The buttons are big and loose-will need to secure them down prior to use

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this jacket! The cut is perfect - so flattering! The fit is great & I love that it has room in the arms & shoulders. It is very warm, but not so heavy that you have to wait for the hard winter to wear it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better then the orginal! I really love this version of Claires Riding Jacket. I sized up because I like to wear a lot of sweaters in the winter, but that runs big so I probaly would have been ok with my normal size. The coat is a great autumn coat, its light weight and just a little warm, but isnt heavy enough to be good for really cold winter days. The cut is very flattering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super cute, color is off I really like the cut of this jacket. I should have ordered a size down. The color is more dark brown not like the picture. Prior to purchasing this I already knew it wouldn't be thick jacket and would be more for show.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely Coat I am in love with this coat. Whilst not particularly heavy (if you live somewhere it gets really cold, this wouldn't be the cost for you) it can keep you warm in 40/50 degrees. (You can always bundle up though!) I love the tartan lining and the buttons. I've gotten several compliments on it already and honestly, if I could wear it all the time, I would.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great style I love the style of this coat. I bought size 2. It’s a little tight around the chest and shoulders. I’m 220 lbs with a 44DDD. I’m looking forward to wear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent RIDING coat Hence the deeper hood (to cover your hat), and flare + longer length (to flare out and cover the cantle on your saddle properly). I found this coat to be exactly as advertised, and from a horse person, bravo Torrid! This jacket is beautiful on or off the horse. The contrast of the white fur against the brown/green of the jacket is striking! I have recieved many compliments from both strangers and family members. I feel this coat is a great fall type, it's not thick or puffy; however a long sleeve, flannel, or plush type long sleeve can fit comfortably underneath it. I feel the shoulders have adequate room to move, fitted without being snug. (For reference I am 5'7, 250+ lbs, usually a solid size 3, longer torso and arms, larger in the lower stomach area, and bust is 44 dd- hence needing room in the shoulders.) The inner buttons help support the outer ones, and extra buttons are included with the jacket. To me, this jacket is a fun, pretty, and functional "statement" type jacket. You'll turn heads! (I used this jacket with a Torrid plush long sleeve under it, gloves, and a scarf and personally was warm in around 48-50 degrees outside, with wind. The longer length is great for keeping the wind from swirling around your lower extremities too!)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outlander The style of this jacket is nice. That being said I feel for this price point it is very very thin. It is lined though. The hood is big and the sleeves are long. For me it would it would wear it indoors as like a sweater on other pieces if I get cold. It does also seem like it has a lot of buttons to button on it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love!! This is just as fantastic as I was hoping it would be! Normally, women's coats are tight in the shoulders/back but this fit great! I wish it were a little thicker so that it could be worn when it's really cold out so that the temp would match the glorious faux fur lining!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outlander OLIVE jacket This coat completes my new Outlander outfit and I am thrilled with the details on this: the thistle buttons, the Frasier Clan tartan full lining, the snowy fur ruff around the hood that looks great with every complexion, the feminine lines and deep pockets and deep darting for the busty. The jacket runs large. I usually wear a size 2 in torrid clothes and this coat is loose fitting enough to accommodate a thick sweater underneath and I will still have room to move. The color of the coat is a mustardy army green, like two centuries ago army green, not current camo green. It will look fantastic on red heads, auburns, and people who look amazing in autumn colors. For reference, I am 5'3" tall, 213 lbs, and I wear a 40G bra size. I held back on a full 5 stars. While I think the jacket is tailored well, the thistle buttons are not attached well. The top button came away in my hand as soon as I touched it! I can sew it back on, and I'll reinforce the others. The coat comes with an extra thistle button and an extra internal button. Nice. Also the hood is extremely deep, so if it falls forward it flops over my eyes. A little buckle strap on the hood would be a nice design addition for the next batch of jackets. (Please, make it so, Torrid!) I also think the fabric of this coat, with friction, is likely to pill. Still, I love this new jacket!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love It This is a great light coat, good for the South. The cut is beautiful, the lining feels nice, even the fur trim is cute, though it would be great if that part were detachable. I got my usual size, but it is snug in the chest (I am a G cup). If I had sized up, it would have been too big everywhere else. The buttons need to be sewed on better, they are loose and hang a bit, but I love the thistle/crown design on them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not a fan I have brought every single outlander jacket, this one is by far my least fav! I wanted to love it but the color is off, the pockets are in a weird position and the overall fit is not flattering at all

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Super cute but thin Sized up in this to wear heavy sweaters underneath (winters are cold in Canada!). It is such a cute coat and I have received lots of compliments on it. It’s well constructed, except I feel like I’ll have to sew the buttons again. The material is much thinner and so this works best as an autumn jacket despite the fur trim around the hood. I purchased a wool Outlander coat a few years ago and it is winter worthy. Those of you in more temperate climates should definitely get this for a winter jacket! And for all of us in colder climes, don’t rely on this to keep you warm.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from looks good, but... I love the look and fit of this coat, but it is very thin, and doesn't seem very warm The sleeves are a bit short. The cut is very flattering

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good fit I love the style and fit of this coat. The fabrics it's made out of leave MUCH to be desired... and I am glad I got it half off because this is CERTAINLY not worth $129. The inside lining is CHEAP polyester... I was expecting it to be almost flannel like and soft and warm... but it's shiny and slippery feeling. Definitely more for style than warmth, but again being priced at $129 I would expect it to be made of better materials.
