I love this dress! As soon as I saw it on the website, I made a purchase. It is exactly the style of dress I’m always hoping to see on the Daily Drop.
I have *ahem* A LOT of little black dresses and this one checks all the boxes. The material is soft, not clingy, not flowy and not too rigid or fitted. The mesh top is perfect, stands out and is understated at the same time. 3/4 length sleeves are perfect. It is a mini dress for sure. I threw on a pair of sheer black Torrid tights and it completed the look. Someone mentioned in another review that is had pockets though…mine does not have pockets so I’m not sure what’s going on there.
I’m 5’10” and wear a 0 or 1. Both fit me well but I chose to keep the 1. Just a smidge more length which I needed.
I want this in white too please.

Sexy, Fashionable & Comy
I wore this to a semi-formal event last weekend and it was perfect! The sheer mesh was trendy and chic, but understated. It held up well while being comfortable and easy to wear. This could also be dressed up with accessories if needed, so it's also versatile. I don't see how this dress could go wrong.

Absolutely gorgeous! But I had to order about two sizes larger and also it came with threads sticking out of it. It looks like someone made it in a rush. I still gave it 5 stars because it looks good on. I think that torrid should have spent a bit more time on making this dress.

Unexpectedly Lightweight!
I wasn’t sure about this dress because I think the top would look better with a sweetheart, and the top of the mesh comes up a little bit high. Also, it’s the tiniest bit short waisted, and that’s saying something because I’m only 5’2”. However, it was so unexpectedly lightweight that I decided to keep it and have grown to really like it. 3/4 sleeves are always amazing, and this dress is a little shorter than other of torrid’s “mini” length dresses, which a short girl appreciates.

Cute!
I thought this was a cute style. It is extremely soft and flattering on most body types. I ended up returning it, though, because I felt like it was too “mature” of a style on me.. and I was going for more of a youthful feel. Perhaps it was just a bit long for me because I am 5’1. But overall, it was a lovely dress.

Amazing dress but damaged
I just received this dress and it is beautiful but much to my dismay it arrived damaged. Please stop selling returns that have not been checked over thoroughly. This dress was obviously worn and the lace is ripped/detached at both the armpit and shoulder. Sad that I won't be able to wear it for what I bought it for and now I'm stuck with a dress that's going straight to the garbage. Thanks Torrid!

Ross-worthy Dress
This dress was not cheap but I've had dresses with a better fit than this one and the same material...
I was so excited to own this dress but the moment I took it out of the bag I knew there would be an issue. I don't like the material. It doesn't feel as high quality as the five other dresses I purchased from Torrid in the past few months and that makes me sad because I was willing to drop quite a bit on a simple black dress.
The top of the dress is way too baggy and the arms are too, so it's not snug like the model in the featured image. The dress fits, but the arm and chest area looks awful... and this will the the first article of clothing that I've ever had to return to them.
It might work for you but it looks cheap on me. I'd need a professional to alter this dress for it to look decent.
