I've tried doing vans but these fit better. I do warn that they take a few days to break in as they tend to be a tad tight at the beginning but they stretch out after and are soooo comfortable.

I never usually wear shoes, just sandals and slippers - then I injured my ankle and had to find supportive sneakers to wear to support my ankle and foot. These are SO COMFORTABLE! AND, they stabilize my ankle while cushioning my steps. They fit true to size, the nice rounded toe box allows plenty of room for wide feet and socks. These sneakers are "easy on, easy off," with a nice rubber sole. AND, they are very CUTE to top it all off. I have received many compliments. I need these in neon pink! THANK YOU TORRID, from my orthopedic surgeon, for making me a "shoe-wearer."

It is a flat shoe without any support, however, I inserted some insoles and I can wear these to work on casual Fridays for 10 hour days, bicycle rides, stroll in the park, and my feet do not hurt.
