Love these jeans!!
I am 5'3" and 350 lbs, carrying most of my weight in my tummy. I go back and forth between size 4 and 5 at Torrid and ordered a 28R in these. I was not expecting to love these as much as I do. These jeans are SUPER high rise (which I love) and I usually have an issue with Torrid's high rise not being high enough. Also, because I am so short, the regular inseam actually works great for me for a regular pant length. The material is a pretty thick denim. The only part I don't like is the button front closure; but rather than that, I love them!

surprisingly great
I Haven't bought denim from Torrid in YEARS, and i bought these on a whim, because they were on clearance. I was really surprised at how modern they were and the fit was great. If Torrid made more on trend denim like this, I would keep buying here instead of elsewhere. sad to see that this style is phasing out and not in, as these jeans are great!

Perfect high waist
Wow I have so much to say about these jeans.
The waist height is perfect for me. I love the fit of the bombshell but it’s a bit too low, and the sky highs are almost perfect. My pansa is just a wee bit too big for them. But these were definitely made for my belly lol. They hit at my waist. Love them.
They were a little tight when I first tried them on, and of course they stretched out so the fit is no longer the same as this morning. Which is a bit of a shame. They’re a little loose, but not in a bad way. I still like these jeans. (I’m a size 20)
The “cut”… I’m a millennial first and foremost, bury me in my skinny jeans. Well apparently skinny jeans aren’t in anymore.. and I wanted to try out a new cut. These seem so big to me lol. Im wondering if after washing the fold will go away and make the fit better? I cuffed them and I kind of like it. Idk im getting used to this type of Jean lol
The one con is I get a little bit of camel toe in these jeans, but that’s most jeans, oh well lol.
Overall I really love these jeans and am excited to take them out to the bar this spring lol.
These hug my waist perfectly. I recently tried out a “corset” jean which I will need to have altered, too flimsy & the waist line did not hug my waist. At all. These jeans hug my waist perfectly!

Cute with super high rise
I love how these fit on me. I'm short waisted And short (5'3") so they come up all the way to my natural waist. And the regular length inseam works great for me too and comes to be basically a cropped length. If you are 5'5" or more you may want the tall inseam. I love the button fly and the stretchy hidden waist band. Amazing jeans to wear with a tucked in top or crop top! Pics are me in size 10R.

These are Mom jeans so don't expect them to be sleek and sexy but they are comfortable and cover the dreaded muffin top. Doesn't bother me that the rise is so high, I bought another pair. They are comfortable to wear, thick quality denim.

Fit better than I expecte
I was a little nervous about these because they didn’t have a lot of stretch but I was pleasantly surprised that they did fit the only thing I don’t love is that they are in all button fly.

I've been on the hunt for a good pair of mom jeans. I was a little worried about these as the reviews seemed mixed, but I love them. Yes, the waist is tight. Yes, there is little too no stretch. They aren't made like other Torrid jeans (with the stretch) and I could see how that could be an issue.
However, the shape of the jeans are super flattering. I adore the how high the waist is and would love to see more jeans like these from Torrid.
I do not like the hidden buttons pretending to be a zipper, however. They aren't super easy to button up or down.

Ok I love these. I did size up to the 14 because all mom jeans seem to run smaller for me. Love the high waist even though it’s super high. Haha now they do have more stretch than I thought so I probably would have been fine with the 12. Still love them.

Great Jeans
I love the extra high (to the ribs) waist (it hides my B belly) with the comfort band. I ordered these in a 22 and 24 and had a really hard time deciding which pair to keep. Even though the 24's were big in the waist (by about 2") they fit exactly how I wanted them to as soon as I tried them on. I decided to keep the smaller size because 99% cotton denim loosens up as you wear them and glad I did because they are still very comfortable and not too baggy. The larger size would have looked sloppy after wearing them awhile.

BEST mom jean for bellies
FINALLY a mom jean that fits me right!! This is the first and only pair of mom jeans I’ve ever tried that have actually fit me the way mom jeans are supposed to. All other mom jeans I’ve tried end up looking like wide leg jeans on me because I have a big belly and the waist is never big enough or stretchy enough to wear my normal size, and the legs are never tapered enough at the bottom, so whenever I size up the way I have to in order to actually have them button/zip up, the legs always end up looking way bigger and baggier than they’re supposed to, because my waist usually needs one size while my legs need another. While I’ve become accustomed to this look over the years simply because most mom jeans are made as if everyone’s waists are 2 sizes smaller than their hips and legs (which is definitely NOT me), I have always hoped that some day I would find a pair that is stretchy enough to fit my waist AND my legs properly at the same time. After years of searching, my search is FINALLY over. THIS IS THAT PAIR!! I’m normally a 14 in Torrid jeggings and the 14 in these is my perfect size. I ordered both a 14 and a 16 to try because I had never tried this style from Torrid before, and I can honestly wear either one, but I prefer the 14. The waistband is stretchy enough to button all the way up comfortably, and the legs are tapered enough to give that in between super fitted and baggy look that mom jeans are supposed to have. So if you’ve always struggled to find mom jeans that look right on you because you’ve got a big belly and always have to size up 1-2 full sizes to fit your waist like I have, these might work perfectly for you. Even if I didn’t have those fit issues in the past, I would still prefer these because they’re actually stretchy and thus more comfortable to wear than regular mom jeans, which are typically super rigid and constricting. My only complaint (and reason for deducing a star) is that the wash is slightly darker than how it appears in the pictures, and the pockets are more shallow than other jeans I’ve tried in this style.

Love the look!
I love the way these look on me. Perfect mom jean. I’m 5’5”ish but have a longer torso so these hit right where a high waist should (same spot on me as the sky high skinny). I ordered my normal size in Torrid jeans and these felt the same around the midsection as I expected (a little tight at first but after a few squats/sits - snug so I don’t need a belt and comfy) They fell just above the ankle on me. Wore them with a tucked blouse.
Wish they had this Jean in other colors (besides the ripped jean)

Need to return for short
I’m 5’1 and ordered the regular. Took the advise of another reviewer to get a perfect fit to order the regular. The waist came clear up under my breast. Seriously, I looked like that guy from the show who says “Did I do that”? Lol. I’m returning and buying a short. I expect to like these jeans though, they fit my big thighs really well. Usually a skinny Jean looks odd on me because my thighs aren’t thin. So these will be pretty nice, once I get the right inseam lol. Hopefully the waist on the short aren’t the same way for me.
