I'm 54-50-56 and the size 5 is loose on me, but the elastic keeps it up even with my phone and things in the pockets. I'm 5'7" and my natural waist is pretty high but these are actually high waisted on me.

I got a 5 as I have a VERY large belly that hangs low so these usually don’t work, but these are amazing. They are longer so I’m comfortable wearing them and they are so light weight. Very flowy and not restricting. You could get away with your normal size or size up if you want a bit looser. I plan to wear with a white or beige tank top.

The stretch waist makes it so comfortable and the flowy material is easy to dress up or down. I did order a size down as the material was so stretchy and the leg openings were so big. Even with the size down the legs are a bit more open than I would normally like but it's still an awesome shorts
