I have a hate/hate relationship with jean shorts. these thighs don't play, ya feel me? i had an event where i knew it would be hot, no shade, all day and i had to have belt loops so i bought these shorts in hopes that i wouldn't die out there. well, let me tell you...they fit! and they were comfortable, and log enough to prevent chub rub, and light and i couldnt believe it. I have bought shorts from torrid before that did not work so i was amazed that these did. I did size up one just to have extra thigh room and glad i did. it made them perfect. and they didnt cut my circulation off on my things when i sat down either!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect!!! I have been looking for a pair of true high waisted, with stretch, 5-6in inseam black denim shorts for YEARS that I actually liked. I LOVE these. I was unsure about sizing so I waited to purchase until I tried in store. I also love that the cuff is a true cuff and not sewn on. Personally I sized up. I have a 10 inch difference between my waist and my hips/butt due to a big booty. If you’re larger in the lower front or bottom area I would size up. I’m glad I waited to try them on because I would have purchased my regular size and they would not have fit. For reference I am a 46C, wear a 3-4 depending on the top, and I am usually a 24 in all of my torrid jeans (skinny, boot, wide leg, all of them)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable! The reviews threw me off a little, so I went into my local store to try these on. For me, they run true to size. They are a true high-rise which is what I prefer. Just the right amount of stretch to make them comfortable while still holding you in. The cuff is not sewn, so you can adjust how long or short you want them to be. These are a win, and I'm glad I tried them. I would not size up as suggested unless you like your shorts baggy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute shorts DO NO SIZE UP I'm not sure what the reviews are talking about. This is the second time I listened to reviews in 1 order and size up and didn't need to. I'm so irritated. Don't size up everybody's body is different no one has the same body type so get your regular size.. Torrid sizing is pretty accurate so if it doesn't fit then that's not your size. It's not the way the clothes are made. Be honest reviewers!!!
