These are the most comfy pair of torrid shorts I've ever worn and I have lots. The distressing is absolutely beautiful but not overly diseased. Great ahorts

I saw in reviews people saying to size up so I did and to big, sadly will be returning. Btw I’m a 22 in jeans and shorts so just order your normal size

I do like the distressed look, however I was a little taken aback by the unevenness of the shorts, so till I thought about returning- it does show it in the picture in their defense. One leg is cut up a bit shorter and the material just hangs on the side loose-rather than distressed but attached, it’s a bit odd looking- but they are cute and will be good for running around at the lake over a swimsuit.

Also the same thing at the bottom. It looks ripped with a random piece of jean fabric flopping around. I am going to return and try the non distressed version

And yes they are definitely five inches because I measured them on me. So ladies the summertime is here so please grab you the blue ones the black ones or grab all of them and add them to your shorts collection.
