Too big in legs -🍎shaped
As an apple-shaped human, they’re too big in the legs. Granted, I did go with a larger size b/c 1/2 the reviews (at the time of purchase) noted they were smaller. They’re comfy though!

I like them!
I bought these to update my shorts finally. I'm used to Bermuda shorts to hide my cellulite, but I wanted to give these a shot. They aren't too short actually, and they look great on me. I just have to get used to the shorter length. They don't have a lot of stretch, so get your true size or size up if you have a apron belly. I'm in the midst of my weight loss journey and dropped a pants size, so these fit perfectly.

Too small!
I'd like to echo what many other people said in their reviews - these shorts are really small. I bought a pair last year that fit great, disguised my apron belly (and general apple shape), and felt soft and true to size even when washed. So naturally as soon as I saw them on offer again this year I bought two more pair in the same size and thought that was that. Unfortunately when they arrived and I tried them on, I wondered what on earth happened - this year's size 16 are WAY smaller than my old pair. Furthermore, that seems to be the case with two bombshell pair I bought as well. Will be returning and sizing up. (Note: I did not buy the distressed pair, so at least mine didn't fall apart.)

Worst Jean Short Ever
I usually love Torrid’s high quality denim but this is the worst material ever. Feels like SHEIN or temu quality for $50 is ridiculous. And it is ill fitting.

Not true to size
I wear size 2/20 religiously at Torrid, I can’t even get these shorts buttoned. It’s like I need 2 sizes higher.

Falling apart
I normally have a strict "don't-pay-money-for-pre-distressed-clothing" policy, and I wish I had committed to that with these shorts. They fit as expected--I'm in-between a 10 and 12, but went with 12, and there is a little gapping in the back of the waist so I probably could have sized down, but that's fine. What's not fine is the open rip on the right leg tears at the slightest tug, even from just pulling them on, because it's just cheap elastic and not actual fiber. Save your money!
