Belle Isle Denim Top
I love the style of this top, so cute, very well-made, love the light denim. Thank you for not making it crop length, I appreciate the longer length. I second the other reviewer who said to order your normal size. Love the styling, love the v-neck & embroidery BUT the sleeves go just beyond my elbows & I feel like I'm constantly fighting them. I'm 5'6" with long arms & I feel like they could've used half the fabric on the sleeves & been fine (i.e. shorter puff sleeves that aren't quite as poofy), hence the 4 stars. And I would LOVE a pair of matching capris.

True to size
I'll go first. Order your regular size with this top. I sized down since Belle Isle runs big, but this has no stretch (except for the elastic bubble sleeves) and is just too snug around the bust and hips. I'll be exchanging for my regular size since it's pretty cute! Nice weight chambray and cute embroidery. Knocked off the star for inconsistent sizing.

Deep V for Small Chests
I was excited to see this shirt on sale and decided to take the chance with the V-neck because I have a small chest and sometimes Torrid's V-necks can be too deep that they will show even a plunge bra or will be inappropriate, and this is one of the V necks that go too far- this is not the kind of shirt where you want to be showing your bra or half your chest. Maybe I should have sized down from my regular size (as the shirt is cut large, as sometimes Belle Isle is), but with buying online, you have to take a chance (this would not have happened in a store where I could hold the actual item up to myself and see that it wasn't going to work on my body with its issues). I was afraid if I sized down with a non-stretchy fabric it would be tight at my tummy/hips, as those are my problem zones, so I went with my regular size (2). It's a generous cut with sleeves that are maybe -too- poofy, so the smaller size (1) might have been fine (I haven't tried it so I'm not sure). The quality of Belle Isle is still there with nice fabric and embroidery that doesn't look cheap or cheesy. It looks like a lovely shirt for late spring/ early summer and early fall.
I wish that if Torrid is moving toward making us buy everything online that they get additional models who have different types of plus-size bodies and add them to the types of photos available because this model is beautiful but she doesn't have tummy/hip trouble and has a more full bust so you really don't know how the items will look on someone whose body is more like your own.
If you are a DD-girl you might not have the same problem with the shirt as I did with being a B/C cup. I had to send this back and I'm a little hesitant to re-purchase the smaller size because it won't be the price that I paid for it because there are no even exchanges, but return & re-purchase (often at a higher price than you paid the first time).

Heavy and too boxy
I usually order a 2 but this was incredibly boxy and I felt like I was wearing heavy denim not ideal for summer. I tried washing it also to see if the shape would come together, but now its on my closet shelf until someday, I donate it. I shouldn't have washed it because now I cannot return it. Bummer. I think most of my shirts are Torrid.
