Beautiful dress
When Belle Isle first came out I was pretty unimpressed. This also coincided with some weird company decision to nuke the sizing standards that had worked for loyal Torrid shoppers for years. Who exactly were these shapeless potato sack dresses for?
Then I happened to stop into a store and discovered that while I have long been a 2 (42” waist, 47” hips, 200lbs), for most Belle Isle stuff I needed a 1. I’ve started doing a crazy amount of work travel and many of the Belle Isle pieces are made with quality fabrics with nice details such as thin cotton lining instead of polyester.
I also started seeing pics of other people wearing what I will call “poofy dresses” and now I get it. Sizing down a whole size is required.
Does the poofy dress accent my form? Not in the least, unless I choose to belt it. But it’s well made, light weight enough I can wear it to summer work conferences in Florida and California and looks nice enough for business casual with some flair.
TL;DR: Once I was a critic, now I’m a believer. 😂

This is a smocked dress that I’m so glad I went a head and purchased. It is over sized and goes great over my swimsuit.

High Quality
I have the navy one. Cotton with a linen look and lined with a similar fabric. Embroidery is beautiful and flawless. Sleeves are ruffled and open at bottom. TTS and about knee length on me (size 0, 40D, 5'11"). Went through washer and dryer well with no wrinkling.

How is this Dress not sold out????? I got the blue, brown and black one. If torrid made more colors I’m buying more dresses 🙂. I’m 375, I got them 5xl, good length, nice fit, many complements. My ladies take advantage of the sale, I got desperate and paid a lot more, but 0 regrets 0 disappointment. Do it 🥳

Perfect summer dress
Beautiful and wow, the quality. Not tight across the chest. I'll wear this all summer. I love embroidery and i Hope Torrid brings lots of it this year. Looks and fits like the picture.

Beautiful dress!
Wow! What a beautiful dress. The pictures don’t do this dress justice. As soon as I took it out of the package, I could tell it was made very well. It was made of thicker fabric with layers and felt really nice. The pattern is beautiful and it looks so nice on. I am typically a size 2 and purchased a size 2. I probably could have gotten away with a size 1 but it is still very flattering as is. The length hits just about 2 inches above the knee. I’m very happy with my purchase!

Size down in this dress, and be aware that it’s fairly short. But this dress is so flattering and cute. I’ve gotten many compliments and feel so beautiful in it. The cut brings in my waist perfectly
