I love these Belle Isle mini dresses and I can't figure out why they're not sold out. These are meant to be a flowy French girl style. I picture it with a garnet lip and a cute strappy sandal. They're meant to be chic and breezy, not fitted. Not too short for me at 5'4. (You'd have to be pretty tall for this to be too short.) AND IT'S COTTON. Thank you, Torrid. This is so soft on the skin and refreshing. I bought the red and it's beautiful. I put it in the dryer and it didn't shrink. I loooove. Would love this style in Viking Blue or a smoky turquoise.

Soft summer classic
This slightly above the knee float dress is a classic for easy summer dressing. Full puffy sleeves, 100 percent cotton, and trapeze shape make it comfortable .The classic pattern make it easy to cordinate. It is well made , too.

I had an idea of what I wanted to buy with my Torrid cash and it was an absolute surprise that I ended up getting this dress. I'm like 5 ft. nothing and depending on the style, cut, and fabric of the dress I generally wear between a size 1 or 2. I was lucky enough to find this dress at my local store and after trying it on I actually bought it in a size 0. I will say it's a little bit oversized and I think it's because the dress is a cotton and there is little to no stretch to the fabric so I can see it having a larger cut. I ended up picking the Callie Floral Peacoat and it's more pretty in person, pictures don't do justice, but I am partial to blues. Overall it fits well and there is little to no pulling or tugging on my torso or chest (40-42B) and I can sit comfortably in it with no issues. There is the tiniest bit of pulling on my arms (my problem area) because of the elastic, but it's not enough to bother me. I was swimming in the size 1 and I could still feel the sleeves in the larger size as well. I will say that I will definitely wear my metal floral belts I bought from Torrid last year to give myself more shape in this dress. I really love it with the silver belt, but I think I would pair the gold tone belt with the dress to give it more contrast. I love the buttons like a typically shirt dress hitting right above my knee and I love the pockets. I would really love to see this in more colors.

Love this Dress!

Potential with this one.
This dress is really cute and different from the dresses i have seen offered by Torrid before. I bought it in a size 4, and as i sit between a 3 and a 4, i thought i would size up to get a bit of extra length. This was a mistake. It looks really big on me and reminds me very much of a dress you put on a doll, looking like something your mum made out of old curtain fabric... However, with a belt, it flatters better and is wearable.
It is very thick/stiff (curtain-like) fabric, and as i live in the tropics, its only a dress that could be worn in the spring/coller months.

Not the best
This dress is a little too much like a mumu. I guess it's in the title (trapeze shirt mini dress), but I wish it had *some* waist definition. I also wish the fabric was higher quality. You know what they say... you get what you pay for (this dress was drastically reduced in price when I bought it).

Sleeves too huge
I love this dress on but the sleeves are way too big and wide. I could fit 2 or 3 of my arms in them, so the elastic wouldn't close around them. I had about 6 inches of extra material and they stick out like they are about to take flight. The dress was nice and flowy, but it was uncomfortable at the back of my shoulders, which is why I size up to a 4 for a looser fit. So disappointing because it's so adorable, just horrible fit on the sleeves.

I went down a size as the Belle Isle line usually runs large. I would say the dress "fits" in the size I got but due to its drop waist and cotton material, it gives no shape at all.
