Soft and thick!
I recently purchased this sweater and I REALLY love the fit! I'm short with an extremely large chest and short waisted and this sweater is extremely flattering on me. I don't know why others have said the sweater looks faded. Mine is a true black and the grey stars have a metallic thread woven through that is really lovely in person, not too sparkly or overwhelming at all. Bc of the size of my chest, I can wear any size from a 1-3 in Torrid tops, based on cut, material, length, and seaming, which is a lot. I got this in a size 2 for a nice comfortable fit. But I could have gotten it in a size 1 for a closer fit or a 3 for a slouchy fit. It falls right below the hip on me, so it covers my belly and rolls nicely, but on smaller chested person with a short waist it might be a lil longer and that would work really nice too! This is definitely worth getting, the pattern is pretty classic at this point so you can easily wear this for a few seasons. I wash this sweater in cold water with eco-friendly detergent, and air dry it. I have no issues with fading or pilling. I highly recommend this sweater!

Warm & comfy!
I’ve got about 6 Torrid sweaters from over the years and this one is my favorite aside from the green cage one I also bought this year. I always get multiple compliments from strangers when I wear this—not sure why some reviewers have stated it looks old. I’ve washed it twice following the directions on the tag and it has held up just fine. I typically size down for sweaters (to a 1) and this was no exception. (PS - those are toothpaste spots on the mirror, not spots on the sweater!)

Soft, Cozy, Thicc
FIT. I am size 2 or 3 in Torrid tops, depending. I size down for sweaters because they're usually stretchy and a loose fit. That worked out for this one.
MATERIAL. This is a thicker sweater (like thicc), very cozy and super soft. In good lighting it looks saturated, but if you're under gross yellow lights, it might not look very good (but what clothes do look good in bad lighting?). There was no pilling on mine, but there was some floof all over the outside, because of the very soft yarn it's made from, and I'll probably have to shave it off after a wash.

THICKER THAN OTHER TORRID SWEATERS
Most of the sweaters I've bought from Torrid have been on the thin side but this is definitely a proper thick winter sweater. No need to layer under it as it's soft, not scratchy, it also runs true to size. There's small reflective metallic threads in the stars that don't come across in the photos and they really catch the light. I'm very pleased w/ this purchase.

Super soft!
I just received this sweater today and I'm loving it. I have the pink heart sweater like this, which is great, but this one is even better. Nice and thick, so warm, and really soft! I hope it washed well because I can tell I'm going to get lots of use out of this one.

Soft, comfortable, true to size, weird collar
This sweater is soft, comfortable, true to size (I am a 2. I was swimming in a 3 and encased like an overstuffed eggroll in a 1, and the 2 was perfect), with a lovely glittery shine in the stars that doesn't come through on the screen. You could even almost wear it inside out, where the colors are reversed - including the sparkle! (but the seams are also there, so). On the sweater I got the collar is a trifle wonky, shifting between a sort of half curve half square, and a wonky square unless I situate it juuust right to keep it a smooth scoop shape. It's cozy and warm and a very good buy.

Quite heavy but cozy
This sweater is much heaveier than i expected, by the outside is very soft. The metallic thread is prominent on the inside (it’s a reverse knit inside) which is slightly itchy for my very sensitive skin. I’m keeping it but I’m not sure how often I will wear it because Of the weight and itch factor.

I saw this sweater in the Torrid catalog and had to have it. I went to the store to purchase and was happy to find out that it was a thicker sweater. I sized up 1 size from a 00 to 0 just in case of shrinkage in the wash. As other reviewers stated, this black is not a deep black almost looks dirty to me but that may be because of the material as it seems to catch a lot of lint fuzzies and hair. I also noticed pilling right off the rack. I have only worn this sweater one time and the seam on the cuff has began to come undone. I love this sweater but am very disappointed in the quality.

Looks old
Maybe its just my personal taste but this sweater is thick like the other reviews said, and being a big girl thick translates into looking bigger which is never flattering. I purchase Torrid clothing weekly so am accustomed to the Brand as a whole- what prompted me to write this review was that the sweater although the idea of it cute with the stars, looks "old" as though you have had it for a few years, not the saturated black in the photo, I have not worn it but straight out of the package it looked piled which is when an item gets those small little lint ball look to it when it has been worn too much. Will need to return this sadly.

Super soft!
