Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice dress This dress ticks nearly all of my boxes. It is a perfect length for me (hits a few inches below my knee - I'm 5'6".) The pockets are deep and actually useful. The v-neck is a tiny bit low, but I just wear a cami underneath. Would love to see this style in a material that doesn't get quite so wrinkled, though.

The sleeves are long enough to hide any arm insecurities, the waist is super flattering, the print on the floral is cute. They are extremely similar to the maxi dresses torrid has had the last few years. I realllllly hope this means we see more maxi dresses like that and less of the Y neck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way better than Expected I never would have considered this dress when looking online but when I had to return a couple dresses I decided to try it on. I am in LOVE!!!! I noticed there is a review that is sad by the chest area being too big. Luckily that was not a problem for me and it fit everywhere perfectly. I am back to get the dress in black as well! It does run a little big. Due to the type of material I thought for sure I would need a 2 but the 2 was too big but the 1 was perfect. If you range between 2 sizes I recommend the smaller of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice but too short Love the print, fabric and style but definitely not 50 inches long...the reason I did not give it five stars. Sometimes I can get by with midi or tea length as I'm only 5'4" and the maxi can be too long. Will keep the dress but Torrid really needs to get more consistent in manufacturing their clothing. Too many "duds" and tired of returning because of sizing issues.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Well, it has sleeves... I've been trying to find a black midi-length dress with sleeves to replace a favorite I originally bought several years ago. This is not it. I originally purchased a size 4, but the fabric creased right across my breasts. Returned for a 3 (my usual size) and the fit was a bit off but I hoped that after washing it would be fine. Now the fabric creases higher above my breasts and has shrunk around all the buttons and seams creating a puckering effect and there are so many loose threads around the buttons. Challis is one of my favorite fabrics, but this is nothing like Torrid's challis of years long gone by: thin, cheap-feeling, made from viscose/lyocell instead of rayon. I have Torrid dresses from almost a decade ago that I wear often, this isn't going to be one of them. One extra star for the sleeves. What does a person have to do to get some sleeves on a summer dress? Oh, and Torrid, fox your sizing. It's all over the place these days.
