The material is very cheap, but you knew that. It's a pair of stays for less than $30. At that price, anything better than Spirit Halloween costume quality is a happy surprise, and it manages that. The plasticky stuff it's made of is sturdy enough to achieve some waist reduction, if you're of a squishable build. The shape is perfect for flattering the chest and emphasizing the waist. The material does deform readily, and I'm not sure the indents from the clips that held it to the packaging will ever bounce back. No zipper, so you will have to fight your way through the buckles to get in and out every time. It looks pretty cute, even though no one is going to mistake it for leather at any distance. I liked it enough to exchange it for the correct size after seeing it up close.

Unfortunately this is just really cheap and poorly made. The plastic material bends & curls upwards at the ends when you sit, the elastic back has minimum stretch and overall the quality just isn’t good.

Great fit, cheaply made
I really really want to love this, but the quality is just not there. The fit is actually awesome, but the holes where the buckles fit into the corset are not reinforced at all!!! No grommets, or at the very least stitching, to support the pull of the buckles. I put it on and the stretch of the buckles pulling looked like it was going to rip the pleather... I can't imagine it would last very long if I actually wore it sitting/moving around all day. Very disappointed. You could size up to avoid it... but I've never met anyone who wants a lose corset? Kind of defeats the point...

Poor material.
This was so cute I wanted to love it! But the material is very thin and weak. I put it on once for 5 minutes and it tore on the strap. Also the straps were awkward. They either wouldn’t stay up or wouldn’t fit. I’m gonna cut the straps off and wear it as a belt.

Very cheap and too small
I was so excited for this just for it to immediately rip when I tried to fasten it 💔 I'm a size 3 and it was way too small. The elastic it the back is too taught to be any use. So sad I spent money on what is essentially trash now 😭

Didn't even get to wear long before the "leather" broke apart. I got my normal size and fought to get it on and then when I just went about my dad RIP. I about cried, I was looking forward to it and thought it was super cute. I should've gone up a size :(

Would not buy another
Before I even took it out of the shopping bag, three of the grommets had fallen off and were in the bottom of the bag. This is the 2nd corset I've bought from Torrid and had to return because of shoddy craftsmanship.

Don’t bother
I am a size 16 and purchased a size 2 to make sure it fit without a problem. Super cute but tore before I was able to leave the house. Ripped from the strap loop. Maybe if the opening was reinforced it would’ve had a better chance of surviving.
