I love the shorts that have a tie on them, and thankfully these do. I didn't notice the odd cut the others noticed. It was the expected size/fit. I didn't size up or down. I'm 5'6 1/2, 185lbs, and a 48DD. I wear Torrid 3 in bras and underwear. I got a 4 in the top, 3 in the shorts.

They are not too tight on my waist, a little long maybe but I just fold the waistband over once and they’re perfect. I want these in all colors. Yes, the fabric is thin, but I get so hot and sweaty doing basic chores and I like to wear lightweight clothing when I clean and sleep! Seriously, I want more colors and pattern options!
