So comfortable and soft
I've had another peacoat from a different brand in the past and I've found while shopping for them that typically they're a very stiff thick material. While this jacket also has no stretch which is very much the norm for this jacket, it's also much softer than any of the others I've tried. It has the same look and shape but when I touch it it feels so nice I love it. The lining it also really nice.
While for many shirts I'm a 2x, I saw the measurement for these jackets on Poshmark looking at sellers for jackets and some were on there and got the 1x instead and it fit perfectly even with a sweater underneath. I tried it on with a torrid sweater jacket, the ones that look like a varsity jacket but made of a more sweater material (in 2x) if that might help anyone. It fit in the arms very comfortably and I could do up both coats without issue of them bunching or moving around. Maybe if I had a very thick oversized sweater it could be more of an issue but getting the next sized up would give me a jacket inches bigger overall and look baggy I think instead of fitted the way it is in the photos.
I do think it's likely true to size because jackets are meant to be bigger for sweaters, especially a winter jacket. I think many people will prefer the regular size over sizing down.

Great Coat
I love this jacket. I wish they had it again this fall. I ordered it in plum and didn't try it on right away ( big mistake). I ordered the wrong size. It's too late to return, not available in any color. Hopefully, they will bring it back this fall, perfect Jacket, that can dress up or down.

As a size 6 I’m always hesitant about buying coats that might have zero stretch. But, this jacket is a perfect fit. It’s not super bulky and is the perfect length.

Can wear over layers
I bought this just in time for a cold front. I am so happy with the way it fits. I ordered my true size and I can wear it over sweaters and layers. The back and arms were roomy and I was able to leave it on while driving. I usually need to take my coat off because everything feels so tight. The sleeve length was great, and usually I need to have the length shortened. The color is beautiful and the fabric feels so soft and cozy. I love this coat!!
