comfort and style
i'll admit i was a bit nervous to order this jacket, as a 90s baby and a preteen during the millennial era, young me strongly protested all things glitter or rhinestone. and even still, those types of styles were not afforded to me in the clothing available for plus size girls of that time, and it could have been jealousy that truly kept me away from enjoying or allowing myself to want those styles. i was also nervous that the denim might be too stretchy, and that the arms might run short. fear not! the arms are perfectly lengthy, tall friendly, great room in the shoulders, doesn't bunch up in the back, and has just the right amount of stretch to be comfy in the elbows and button up comfortably without pulling or gaping between each button. the pockets are placed well and are comfortable to rest your hands in. i love all the seam details and especially the wide v look on the back side. the rhinestone design is really intriguing and it looks like they are secured well. with spring around the corner, it should become a great staple in my wardrobe soon. i am typically a 2 in tops but ordered this in a 3 and it is a fitted, to the body silhouette. you could size up further for a looser fit. different colors and rinses/washes, as well as different decorative choices with rhinestones or hardware could be really cool, or even patches instead. a big ole back patch could go so hard!! spiked shoulders? jumbo grommets? the possibilities are endless
