Matte outside, inside has a raw look and texture. Fit is great wearing heavy or lightweight clothing . I'm 5'-2-2" and the length works just fine as slightly below my knees.

I thought I'd be returning this, but it has a chic look that can glam anything up (except over the dress the model has on), with a sexy or sophisticated edge. Get it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It feels great to wear! I've always wanted a leather trench coat (like a certain bleach blonde vampire) but genuine leather is beyond my wallet. I was super excited to find this one at such a reasonable price, and when it got here, I was even happier to realize how soft the faux leather and satiny inner lining feel.

Got multiple compliments first time wearing it out and a friend said I looked like I was from the Matrix. I first purchased my usual size and then exchanged one size down for a slimmer fit. I think it is sized slightly roomy in the arms, but fit similar to other coats of this size. It looked okay at my normal size, but something about leather makes it look better when tighter. When I sized down, I felt the shrink was mainly in the arms and shoulders, the first buttons felt like they closed about the same way as one size up. I don’t think the coat looks as sharp open and doesn’t drape as nice when open as on the model photo due to the snap buttons and it’s cut to be a wrap situation and hug around the body. Would love torrid to make one meant to wear open too, that’d be pretty hot.

It's not a maxi as mentioned in the description but I do like the length on my 5'4" frame. The faux leather is soft and the coat is warm enough to be worn in the fall and early winter. It was a bargain on sale with rewards cash.
