This is great for a formal event, winter, Christmas, etc. It's sexy and flattering; plus cozy with the velvet texture. I LOVE the off shoulder option. I bought the deep grey pink color in 2024, too. POCKETS ARE AMAZING.

If you are between sizes, size down because it’s roomy up top. Bought for someone else because I myself had bought the printed versions for less formal events and they were perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely, flowy dress This dress is very flattering. I am 5’3 and a Torrid size 2 in dresses. I’m a 20 short in jeans and a 1-2 in tops. I got this dress in size 2 and it is true to size for me, but if you carry a lot of weight in the area where the waist of this dress sits, you may want to size up. Also, I am not large chested and it fits me perfectly, so if you do have a large chest, this might not work for you. This dress falls nicely from the waistline, and the material is nice and flowy. It doesn’t look weird in the back on me like most dresses do. You know the lumpy love handle area that looks like I’m smuggling a pillow? Yeah, it doesn’t accentuate that area. The fabric is on the heavy side, but I think that adds to the luxurious feel of the dress and it is obviously a cold weather dress. I saw the suggested ideas of how to style this dress. Someone thought that those casual Birkenstock type shoes should be put with this dress? That is ridiculous! This dress, at the least, should have a fancy boot, such as a fancy cowgirl boot, or a straps sandal. I could even see a cute combat boot , depending on the look you are going for. However, in no reality do those suggested shoes go with this dress. Who is doing the styling at Torrid? Anyhoo, I like this dress a lot and I recommend it.

Fits perfectly and is very flattering. The material is so soft and comfy too. The colour is incredible. I was surprised that I fit into a 00 since I'm usually a 1 in torrid clothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I bought this to wear to work (and just around in general because life is a special occasion.) and I love it. I'm 5'5" probably 5'6" in shoes and this is the perfect maxi length for me. It doesn't drag but if you're a bit shorter you'll need to hem it. It's very well made and the fabric isn't scratchy inside. The only drawback is I know it's going to get zero wear in warm weather as it's a very thick fabric. Really enjoying it this winter though.
