Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is far softer than I thought it would be, it's not as heavy as I was expecting, and it's a fun costume. Overall, a great way to bat around the house/ for a party. My only complaint, is I really don't understand the fur around the hood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bat costume I got this dress to wear as a Halloween costume. The dress is more like a long hoodie with a zipper that runs the length of it. I'm 4'11". It is perfect! It has thumb holes and a cute little bat claw on the end of the sleeves. The bat wings do not get in the way of normal use. The fabric is soft and washed/dried well.

I could wear it to pick up my kids at school and embarrass them. I love the way it feels and I can’t wait till Florida gets somewhat cold to wear it.

Wasn't sure it was going to look good, thought it might look like a big sack with wings. But once I tried it on...amazing. so cute, actually slimming ( may start wearing it on the regular,) and super soft velvet like material. Fit like a glove. AND..it was on sale! Love, love, love it!!

I'm usually a solid size 6, though I can wear some size 5 stuff too, and every year the warnings on this bat dress are dire! Everyone saying it runs small and to steer clear. And I did! But I noticed this year that they made it solid sized instead of split sized. So not a 5/6, but a solid 6. And the quality of tge material looked better in the photo, and I saw it was done by torrid and not an outside company. So I took the plunge, and omg I'm so happy I did! It fits like a DREAM! with a bit of room to spare! It even covers my very ample rear! I'll def be wearing this with leggings or the bat tights that I just also bought, because I'm not comfortable wearing sonething quite this short without, but I wouldn't have to if I didn't want to! It covers! And it's so soft and well made! I really can't WAIT til the weather gets colder! And here in VT it tends to be pretty cold my Halloween, so if j go to any outdoor Halloween parties or arts faurs where i vend my artistry goods, I'll definitely be wearing this this October! Yusss! I might even wear it out shopping! This is so awesome! Thanks for fixing it, Torrid!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute, but… I ordered this in hopes of wearing it out everyday on chilly days. I just want to say that yes, it is cute and it’s an adorable concept. However, it is definitely more of a costume unfortunately. I love the idea, and the hood + wings make it so cute. I am also a round women, not super round, but more round. And it didn’t make me look bad at all. It also runs super small, so definitely size up a size or two. I sized up one size and it fit good. It wasn’t as loose as I would like, but it was good. My complaint and reasoning for thinking that it looks like a costume is that fact that the feathers make it look that way. I’m sure that you could wear it and people wouldn’t know. I am unfortunately going to return this one. I love it, but I don’t love it for what I was intending to wear it for.
