Comfy & truly lightweight
Living in the heat and humidity of FL, I am always looking for comfy thinner, lighter materials to wear. These do not disappoint! Knowing the way Torrid makes most of their denim shorts super tight, I did size up from a 3 to a 4….they are quite loose and baggy, but I don’t mind. The fabric is so soft that it feels like wearing pajamas, honestly.
I will say I had to order these shorts a few times in the same size before I could find 2 light and 2 medium that fit right. Some of them fit more like 2’s. The sizing was very inconsistent.
I recommend either hanging them to dry, or drying in dryer until still a bit damp and then hanging to dry the rest of the way. You WILL need to tug on the hem while still damp because the hem wrinkles and folds like crazy otherwise. I’ve worn them quite a bit already, and no signs of wear in the crotch like other light materials sometimes do.
Conclusion: try them on in store to find the right ones for your shape and size, or order multiples of the same size and don’t assume they will all fit the same. Return what you don’t like….their return process is easy in store. And yes, they will require a bit more time and care to keep wrinkle free, but not much. They are worth it!

Best Shorts
These shorts are the closest you can get to wearing nothing at all and still being decently covered! Seriously, the material is so lightweight and silky it is incredible. Although it looks like denim, it is not at all rough or scratchy. The length is great and I have only received the darker color so far (as soon as I tried these on I ordered the lighter ones as well) but it is a great universal medium denim color. These are seriously the best shorts in my wardrobe!

Comfortable beach shorts
I love these soft shorts. The length is not so short they ride up, but not 1/2 way down my thigh either. They are flowy with a soft cotton feel. Perfect for lounging, walking the beach, or anything you want to have movement in. They do run a size small. I am 5’7”, 255#, pear shape with a middle age stomach. I am normally a size 16/18. The size 2 fits me like size 16. I sized up for extra flow, and they fir nicely, I just hope they don’t shrink in the wash because they will be tight in the hips if they do.

Love the flowy wider legs
I love these. FYI I'm 5'6 250 and I carry a lot of weight in my tummy. Apple body for sure with an apron belly. These shorts are tencel so they are very lightweight. I llike the wide legs as most of my other denim shorts fit closer. These are super comfy. I bought my normal size and don't really need the drawstring, but I'm glad it's there, functional and not just for show. The pockets are large. I really like that I can dress these up or down. I bought the medium wash and they really are medium so I'm going back for the light wash. These didn't ride up on me but I know that's a concern for others.

Light & Fun Summer Shorts
Got them on sale. Wouldn’t have purchased at regular price. I like the material not a heavy denim perfect for the summer. The butt is a little boxy but the length is super.

Meh. Glad I listened to some of the other reviews and sized up and even then these are a little snug after washing. Material is freakishly soft and light. Wrinkle pretty bad in the wash. Will be great in the heat around the house

Nice fabric
I read the other reviews and too a chance on these anyway as I was looking for a thinner fabric shorts. I like them! The other reviewers are correct saying the waist is a bit small but they are okay for me. I like that they are flowy, an will be great for the hot summer.
