Fits like a size 12
Thank goodness for the drawstring or these size 10s wouldn't fit. I only gave 4 stars because although the shorts are cute, they once again fit like a size 12 not a size 10. Of all the shorts I bought this year only 1 pair fit like a 10.

Not denim
I was surprised when I pulled them out of the package. The fabric isn’t bad, but definitely wouldn’t call these jean/denim shorts even with the “lightweight” description. They are more like canvas cotton shorts. I bought these a size up since I like my shorts to fit slightly loose. I’m glad I did. The waist is snug but the legs are baggy. I feel like they would not be comfortable in my normal size due to the lack of stretch. I like them overall, but these weren’t really what I was expecting based on the description.
I do love that the pockets are giant though and could easily fit phone, wallet, and keys.

I like the tie waist
I ordered these shorts thinking they were going to have some kind of denim look to them
They definitely are not any hint of denim
Will try them on anyway and we will see

Weird Shape
I see why these shorts were on sale so cheap. There's no stretch to these, which would be ok if they weren't shaped weird. They're not flattering at all. They're huge in the thighs, but tight in the hips when you sit down. Not comfortable at all. I would take them back if I hadn't already removed the tags.
