I love it so much

If you want a snugger fit then order a size down from your usual. I ordered my normal size and it fits a little lose. I will be getting this vest in other colors if available.

I have broad shoulders, big boobs, wide hips, and am short waisted, and I have always felt like vests make me look like a linebacker, so I've never bought one. But my daughter wanted this vest for an upcoming trip to NYC, so I ordered it for her (in the "Beet Root Purple" shade, which is actually a bright/deep pink color, just as it looks on my computer screen - not purple at all). I tried it on when it arrived, since she's away at college, we are about the same size, and I wanted to see if it would fit her...and not only did it fit me perfectly, but it was SO cute and flattering on me! I was shocked, and immediately ordered one for myself in the same color. I'm 5'6, 270, 42DD bra, short waisted, and as mentioned, broad shouldered and wide hipped. I'm all over the place in sizes in Torrid clothes: tops I wear a 2 or 3, depending on the cut, and bottoms I wear either a 3 or size 22, and dresses I almost always take a size 1 here. This vest, I had ordered in a 3 for my daughter, and that fit perfectly for me (over a sweatshirt that I happened to be wearing already), so that's what I ordered myself as well. It's a soft (sort of windbreaker) material that feels nice, and is NOT very puffy at all. I don't know that it will add much warmth, but it will be a stylish layer for a cooler day. I can zip it up easily, and it has such a flattering cut, open or zipped. There is an option to cinch the waist area a bit inside, though I like the shape of it as is. I wish the black one was still available in my size, I'd snap it up if so!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect, lightweight I had always wanted a puffer vest and this one has a hood, so I was very excited for it. However, when it arrived, I was surprised of how light it was. It does not really help with the cold weather, but I do enjoy the look for those who suffer from heat it would be perfect for you. I am an apple shape and got the size 5X if it’s perfect. My coworker liked it so much. He is considering purchasing one for himself even though it’s a woman’s it looks great on him.

I bought this vest last year after learning I have POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), a type of dysautonomia that, for me, involves temperature dysregulation. This is the second winter (New Hampshire) I'm using this vest as my only form of outerwear. It is absolutely perfect. It keeps my core warm but allows for ventilation in the arms so I don't overheat. It's the best clothing purchase I've made and I'm very thankful to have it. Not to mention, it goes with everything I wear. I love it!
