Its not so thin that you'd have to wear a tank or t-shirt under it because it's no see through, but I would definitely use it as a layer with another long sleeve to keep warm. But just around the house, its perfect and my husband said its his new favorite shirt on me so thats definitely a win! In some light it does look grey, but in others its green.
