Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Autumnal Piece! I bought this online despite the initial poor reviews it had -- gosh, am I glad I did! It is easily my favorite autumnal piece I bought from Torrid so far this year! It's super soft and cozy, hangs just right, and the bonus is that I don't need to constantly roll up the sleeves (they sit just above my wrists). It looks beautiful worn, the the pattern is lovely too.

So far, it looks super cute with leggings and miniskirts, but I think it's versatile enough to really go with anything that's fitted. I definitely recommend sizing up. I'm 5'6", about 260lbs (with a lot of upper body muscle and decently wide shoulders). I wear a 2 in almost everything (sometimes I get a T-shirt shirt in a 1), but I bought a 3. I do this basically with EVERY outerwear or shawl type item that I buy from Torrid. P.S. I put it on the first night because I was chilly, but just, like, a little chilly? It was VERY good for light-weight warmth.

I’m not usually one for the cardigan look, I’m also not usually one for the Ruana boxy silhouette, but I am a sucker for the knit apparel, so I ordered it since I had some torrid rewards to use. I’m so happy I got this! It has a sort of “batwing” effect to the cut which helps eliminate that boxy-ness and I love the knit design, which makes it stylish and light. It really goes with anything, although I wouldn’t expect it to keep me warm in the fall and winter, it’s perfect for the spring, summer, and temperate fall days. It’s nice to dress up and down with, it’s just one of “those” articles of clothing. It was true to size, it’s a Ruana so it’s not meant to be tight and it’s meant to be big and flowy. Arm length ranges from longer than a tee shirt to 3/4 sleeve (depending how far stretched out my arm is), which I feel the 3/4 sleeve is pretty typical for Ruana/kimono. As far as price point, I paid with torrid rewards but I’d have been happy paying the sale prices torrid typically offers on it. I sadly haven’t had it long enough to speak to the quality of repeated washes that knit clothing sometimes runs into, but I’m hopeful since it’s so cute, I want it to last!
