The material is thin, but not see through on me. This will be more of a lounge sweatshirt instead of wearing out and about, all though you can. But for me, I prefer a little thicker of a sweatshirt to go out in public in. It’s very soft, and comfortable. I always size up to have more room, but I probably could have ordered my normal size on this one and it would have been fine.

These pajamas were almost perfect, fit perfectly and everything...until I noticed that the bottom hem of the shirt had a 2" opening where it wasn't sewn together. Either that, or it somehow got ripped from inside the packaging. I didn't see it until I already removed the tag, so I guess it's mine now. 😮‍💨 I really don't know how it happened, but seriously Torrid, I expected better from you guys! Also, it's worth taking heed of another customer's review concerning the smell, I found it to be true as well, unfortunately.
