As other reviews said, the fabric is thin, but it pairs well with warm tights and a cardigan.
It does run big. I generally don’t care for the “open with ties” neckline, so I removed the ties, sewed the “v” closed, and then sewed the ties at the side of the waist to tie in back and give a slimmer silhouette.

Pretty cute and fun
I loved this baby doll dress. The brown and black plaid is so fun. Yes it’s short, but I am never the type to wear these dresses without leggings or tights. Looks great with boots, Mary, jeans, or Docs. I am a size one, and that is what I ordered. I probably could’ve gone down, but it’s supposed to look big and the sleeve can get a little tight. I have not watched this yet so I couldn’t tell you if it shrinks. I plan to wash on cold and hang dry. If you can get out on clearance, it’s a great deal, but I don’t think I would pay more than 25 for it.

ohhhhh i'm afraid she's a cute one, fellas. i'm a 2 in tops, a 4 in bottoms, and a 3 in dresses. the fit is perfect, i am 5'8 and the length is short without losing coverage. i think if i had to, a 2 could have worked, but i am very pleased with how the 3 looks on me. the brown and black plaid is so cute. the collar is one of my favorite details! cannot wait to wear it tbh

Very cute dress, but the fabric is very thin. I am 5'10" and this dress is mid thigh for me. If you are tall- plan to wear with leggings unless you're comfortable with the length. Dress is roomy if you're not as full chested- if you are DD or less, I would size down.

So in the description it says oversized fit so I sized down to 0 and I'm glad I did. It looks so cute! For reference I'm 5'11 and the length is still perfect on me (mid thigh). It doesn't have any stretch as it is 99% cotton so that's why I was a little scared to size down but I'm glad it worked out. The fabric is thin though. I was hoping for a more structured thick fabric. So I took off a star for that plus it might be more prone to wrinkles because of the thinness.

I LOVE the style of this dress. It has kind of a loose fit, so I sized down one from my usual size to have it a little more fitted. I'm 5'1" and it's knee length on me. My beef is with the material though. It's so thin you can see straight through it. Also not the biggest fan of how the brown and black look together in person. I hope Torrid makes more dresses in this style, but with different fabric and coloring

Plaid and color is cute
Just got this sweet dress in, and tried it on. I listened to the comments about it running a tad large, so I ordered a size down (0) from my usual dress size 1, however, I did NOT find that it ran big and I kinda wish I had gotten my usual size, 1, because, although it fits well, it doesn't "give" in the chest area and the elastic sleeves are a teeny bit tight (and my arms aren't huge). I am thinking about getting it in a size after all, and deciding which one I like the best. I definitely will be wearing opaque tights or leggings with it, as it is short and I am only 5'6", BUT I have a booty! I still say, I WISH they would add like just an inc or two, to the backside of all their mini dresses (not to look noticeable, but just to have that extra length for us big booty girls, that hike that back up too short 😅
