They are still a tad big big they are super comfy and I don’t think I’d want to size down to an 8.5. There is room for comfy socks or an insole which is ideal! Definitely size down - but not a full size if you want some room.

Wore them for a 12 hour shift at work the other day and was fine! No blisters, didn't want to kick them off as soon as I got to the car. Got a 9 and they were perfect! Finally a shoe torrid got right.

The shoes have a rather large opening at the ankle but it's preferable to prevent blisters around the heel. My only gripe is that the inserts are absolutely not removable. I have high arches and usually replace the insoles.
