Rated 5 out of 5 by from I purchased this dresses in a size18w,( my regular size)the dress is pleated , and it was difficult to zip up,I exchanged for the next size up, and it feels more comfortable . I love this Marilyn dress, it was my gift to myself for Mother’s Day.

I’m a solid size 2 in Torrid shorts/pants and dresses. I ordered a size 20 and it fit perfect! I was worried after reading the reviews, but was so in love with the pictures, I decided to chance it. I’m so glad that I did! If you on the the fence about this dress, order it. You will not be disappointed! For reference, I’m 5’8” and 242 pounds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I feel like a classic hol I visited the Torrid store yesterday and found this Marilyn Monroe dress. It had been returned and was two sizes larger than I would normally wear. It was so stunning that I thought - just very it on! It fit me like a glove! Absolutely beautiful and so flattering. I wore it to church today and had so many nice compliments. Gals- this dress will make you walk taller and it has the spirit of Marilyn Monroe . It has no stretch so be prepared to size up and if you are biathlon like me , size up two sizes.

I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a soft, feminine look. Also the quality of the craftmanship on this dress is just beautiful.

I bought it a size smaller and it will fit perfectly very soon as I have been gradually losing weight. I’m so glad I bought it! I feel so pretty in it! I’m 5’2” and 254 lbs . I bought it in advance for when I get to -100 because I didn’t want to miss out. I’m so glad I bought the 1X . When I get there it will for perfectly!

I am a “black dress” gal. I normally wear a 2. Purchased 20- at top of size 2. I wear a lot of fit and flare- for my body type. The zipper issue, unfortunately happens, when companies do a hidden zipper over a seam. This dress has 2 seams to go past. I turned it backwards, zipped and then turned forward- perfect. I didn’t mind the skimpy strap- will probably wear a little lace cardi over and pearls- very bare. I would have liked no pockets. The pleats get a bit wonky around the pocket line. With that being said- I love it! I am more than willing to go around those minor issues for the beauty and style of this dress. So many fit and flares look the same- just different color or pattern. This is by far a beauty! Even my husband saw me trying it on and said it was pretty- and that was with bad hair and no make-up!! Perfect dress for this 66 year old!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Marilyn vibes I bought this a few weeks ago and wore it for Easter. The zipper can be tricky where the fabric doubles at the seams. We had to pull the fabric as close together and as straight as possible to get the zipper through those spots. It was really hard to do it without a second pair of hands but I was able to spin it around, zip it solo and spin it back. I agree with the other reviews, no stretch at all so measure yourself and be exact and if you're between sizes with a fuller bust, size up. I've regularly been a torrid 3, size 22 for years. My bust is 52 in, 44 waist and I did not have a problem with sizing. It fit perfectly to me after the zipper struggles. I'm also 5'5 and it went past my knees like a midi dress. The fabric is beautiful and the dress is not EXACTLY like Marilyn's but it's pretty close. Not see through and did not hug my belly. Bonus for handy pockets! I found it very comfortable and people loved it :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Authentic looking Marilyn I have been a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe since jr high (1980s). This has always been one of my favorite dresses of hers. The dress does feel a bit tight at the waist and the zipper gets stuck there frequently. I don’t regret the purchase though!
