I’m so happy it was in that store! I can understand why some people are upset about the lingerie type feel of the fabric, it isn’t really a go to dinner with your parents dress it’s more like a night on the town show stopper dress. As a person with a more gothic style this dress is fabulous!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely better IRL I bought this for an upcoming dinner. I was unsure, but I wanted to hope it would be a good choice. I'm glad I didn't listen to other reviews. Yes, the skirt is thin. It is described as a satin fabric. I would say it most closely resembles the crepe de chine torrid has done a few other pieces in, but it's buttery and thin, great for a night out while it's still warm. You definitely need a straight back or ballet back bra for this. The 360 smoothing comes up too high in the back. Overall, it's a solid dress and I'm looking forward to wearing it. My ONLY complaint is I wish it were a smidgen longer. I'm 5'11", it's slightly short on me.

It’s that familiar cheap material that a good portion of SHEIN clothes are made of—thin, synthetic, and cheap. The fact that Torrid has the audacity to command anything more than $20 for this dress should be a crime. That, and the fact that they systemically remove negative reviews warning people not to buy certain items. Torrid, what happened? It’s a shame.
