It's lightweight enough for comfortable layering, and solid enough to feel like an entire garment on its own, although I would suggest wearing at least a cami underneath it. Sleeves are full length, and the only- very minor- gripe is that the collar is kinda tall. Definitely worth it!

I already had the lighter, short-sleeve version, but this is a great addition to my wardrobe - in fact, I'm wearing it right now with a pair of black palazzo pants and a long black vest - have a black cami on underneath. Paired it with a long gold necklace and gold earrings with a turquoise Buddha! I am 5'8" and weight 220 - I purchased the size 1 and it fits perfectly. The only thing a love a bit less - it will ride up some, but it's not a huge drawback.
