Best Casual Dress!
This dress is amazing, if you haven’t tried one in this style yet - Do it! This is the perfect length, sleeve length, fit, fabric, POCKETS are even flattering, sometimes pockets suck for helping an items appearance or look bulky but these are so great! They actually help hide my lower saggy stomach area on the sides - idk if it was designed that way or what but - I’ve purchased this style of dress in 5 colors now & will keep buying because I can wear these without cramming myself into crazy shaper shorts to be smooth under it (though as someone with loose skin I always at least wear anti chafe smoothing shorts)
I have this specific dress in both the thick striped pink/black & the thin striped teal/black - the back cross cross design on this one is fantastic & doesn’t show my bra at all & I am always wearing the back smoothing styles with the straps that aren’t easy to hide - so this is a win too.
The drawstring helps adjust fit too whether you’re shorter or taller or want a defined waist or a blouson waist, the length is good to dress up or down & bit worry about being exposed ever, the side vents are great on this length for avoiding riding up while walking or anything. I fluctuate sizes & this same size has fit me from the torrid 00-0-1 & been fine the whole time. Depending how you like the fit, get your regular size! I order dresses in my top size a 00, sometimes a 0 if it’s very fitted but have done every one of these in a 00 & it’s great. In photos I really am about a 14 pants & 1 in pixie pant, but wearing the 00 with PMS bloating… AND it’s still flattering!!
It’s just good! Get one, even if not this one (out of stock) find one & try it - you’ll love.

Comfortable & Flattering!
This dress… I got a cornflower blue one in store on clearance last summer & it sparked an obsession. This dress is SO good! It’s so dang flattering, I have ordered almost all of these style I have seen online since. This specific dress I have in both the thick pink/black stripe & the skinny teal/black stripe… the back detail is super cute, makes me feel good about throwing this on with a low chignon & flip flops & being put together when it’s 90 outside. The length is great, the drawstring elastic waist is great, the sleeves are a great length & fit, the side splits for walking are fantastic… the POCKETS are placed WELL & flattering! They actually help hide the lower saggy belly area for me, I feel like without them I’d need crazy spanx but don’t. I have this dress style in the textured one with elastic waist (no drawstring) in black & an olive also. I love them all! You can easily throw on for a run around day or dress it up & be comfortable regardless.
This style in general is just great, I hope torrid makes more & more with the same length etc as I tried a shorter one recently & hated it.

Oh this dress is so good!! The length, the fit, the sleeves, the neckline, the waist, the slit for ease of walking & not riding up, the fabric!! The pockets - I have a love hate with pockets because often they’re poorly placed in dresses & they make you look thicker in the waist or tummy & I don’t need any of that lol. But seriously, everything with this dress is good. It’s a win win win! I have it in both the teal black tiny stripes & the black/pink thick stripes. If you like the super soft midi, this is comparable! I have now 5 dresses of this style & I love them all. They can be dressy casual, wear statement earrings & pretty sandals or wedges - a crop denim jacket for cooler evenings out… or you can throw it on with flip flops when it’s too hot to care about pants & you still have to wrangle kids at the grocery store.

I can’t believe how flattering this dress is. We weren’t allowed to wear horizontal stripes as fat kids so I was nervous but this is the cutest dress in my closet. Please make it in every color. The other like this has smaller stripes so unsure of that. I bought the pink and I’m so glad I did. Also pockets.

LOVE MYSELF IN THIS
I tried this dress on when I got it and look at myself in the mirror and I felt like I transformed into a new person. I am approximately 5'5" 230lbs and wear a size 16 and bought the Pink size 1. This dress is form fitting without being tight and falls mid-calf on me. If you are wanting a looser fit, I would size up. I love the 80's vibe I get from this dress and really love the pockets.

So soft! Great pockets!
This dress is stepping out of my comfort zone due to how flat and clingy it is around my midsection. I’m a little unsure about it, but my friends tell me it looks great! The fabric is incredibly soft and the pockets are deep enough to hold my phone without it falling out. If you’re self conscious about your tummy area, I’d recommend sizing up.
