The dress did shrink in the dryer, but not so much that I can't wear it. It's perfect for summer, and as others have pointed out, it can be dressed up or down.

I'm like 5 ft. nothing and usually wear a 2 in Torrid's dress and went with the usual and overall it fits great. I'm small chested (42B) and I will say it fits like a corset on top, which I like, you're not moving anywhere in it, and I think a bigger chested girl should take that into consideration. When standing bare foot the front hits at about the knee, maybe a little bit after it and the back hits about half way down my calf. I particularly like that cause when I'm in my heeled sandals or my pumps it gives it a more dramatic look. I especially love the challis material since it's light, comfy, and breathable and gotta love the pockets! The pattern (black floral) of the fabric is beautiful, especially in the light you can see the depth of the colors and it almost looks like an acid wash or oil ink, really beautiful and something I don't really have in my wardrobe. I'm just lucky I got this when a really great sale was going on, another plus for this dress!

But best of all…the fabric is super soft & it has pockets!!! So you can go out and not have to worry with holding your cell phone all night!
