Flattering
The dress was originally mislabeled as being embroidered when it has designs made of puff paint. While embroidery would have been gorgeous the puff design is actually fairly detailed and the dress overall fits really well and is flattering. The rhubarb is a rhubarb color and the dress is lined which for me is good since the weather is cooling down. We will see how well the design holds up. I’m keeping my fingers crossed because it really is a cute comfy dress.

Not Embroidered
The dress is cute but it’s “embroidered detail” is puff paint. I plan on keeping it. We’ll see how it holds up. Very disappointed it wasn’t real embroidery.

Not Embroidered Dress
The fit, neckline, and embroidered LOOK of the dress are adorable. However, the “embroidery” on this dress is actually puffy paint. I never would have dreamed that to be the case based on the description and picture. It is still super cute and I will definitely keep it and wear it, but I’m not sure how it will hold up in the wash.

It's okay
I like the dress but am disappointed that the design wasn't embroidered as advertised. I see that they have now changed the description. I will keep the dress but I wouldn't have purchased it if I would have known it was a rubber created design instead of sewn.

Embellishment looks cheap
I wish I'd read the reviews closer. The fabric, lining and fit of this dress are great. The embelishment along the front is cheap and plastic-like. It totally ruins the dress. I'll be returning asap.

Misleading
Originally, this said ‘embroidered’. What I got was a dress with puffy paint on it. You press your nail in it, and it leaves a dent. I am keeping the dress because the fit is nice, but I am very disappointed for how much money I spend at Torrid to get something misleading and of such low quality regarding the design. Please provide a credit to all customers who purchased this. I expect better out of you, Torrid.

Inaccurate Description
The description for this dress completely inaccurate. This is something I have been noticing quite a bit as of late with Torrid. These clothes (even when on sale) are not cheap and it's important to make sure the descriptions are correct to help save the customer time and trouble not to mention money. That being said this dress is not long sleeve, not button down, and NOT embroidered. That last one is really disappointing. What should be embroidered is actually a very cheap looking form of what I can only describe as "puffy paint." Like other reviewers, I too am concerned about how long this will hold up. Also, the color is nowhere near as vibrant as in the picture. I used a reward on this dress and got it on sale. Since I didn't pay much and I do still think this is a nice dress, I will keep it and enjoy it while it lasts. I typically wear a size 0, that's what I purchased and it fits perfectly.

It is NOT embroidered! It’s just puffy paint! The dress is still cute and comfortable, but I’m incredibly disappointed that it isn’t embroidered. I’m hoping the puff pain wears off evenly, at least.

Frustrating experience
I bought the green one, and while I love the color and the outer fabric, I am disappointed in the puffy paint detail (the dress has been updated to reflect this since I bought it) and the fact that the description doesn't mention that the dress is lined in 100% polyester. While I can stand a poly blend, especially if it has rayon, I find 100% polyester to be so hot and clingy and uncomfortable I would not have bought it had I known. This isn't the first time this has happened with Torrid dresses. Can we please have descriptions that tell the whole truth?

I expect this kind of misleading marketing from alibaba or SHEIN, if I’m paying $10 I expect that.
But this, this is just dishonest.
It’s not embroidered, it’s just cheap plastic puff paint on jersey for $50.
