Winter Staple Piece
Sturdy construction, crisp pleats, true to size, perfect fit! This skirt is the answer to my search for a basic black winter skirt to go with all my shorter blouses/sweaters. I can wear it with boots & sweaters, or with a frilly blouse and heels. Super versatile wardrobe staple. I think I wore it five times within the first week after I got it! For reference, I am 5'4" with significant bum & tum. I ordered a 24.

My New Go-To Skirt!
I absolutely love this skirt! I’ve worn it several times already and get compliments every single time. The fit is perfect—flattering without being too tight—and it’s so versatile. Whether I’m going for a cute, professional look for work or dressing it up for a date night, it always works beautifully. More colors, Torrid!
My one con is that, TO ME, this isn’t “mini” it’s just a normal length. Admittedly, I love short skirts lol. I’m 5’2” and wear a 20 or 22 in Fashion Nova jeans. I sized down to an 18 because I know Torrid makes TRUE plus sizes, which is awesome! But keep that in mind when you’re purchasing it if you have a smaller waist. I love this skirt. It’s very thick, great quality, and swings the way a pleated skirt should. I accidentally broke the little clasp (my fault) and it still stayed up the entire day given the strength of the zipper. I just adore this skirt!

This is a Hit! Love it!!
Beautiful, I was waiting for this! I lacked a nice A line skirt and this one hits the mark. The material is medium weight, not to light but not to heavy. This one was a win, but it does have limited stretch and a side zipper so while I'm a size 2 18/20 I ordered a 20 and so glad I did. It covers my bubble butt all the way. The waist is very comfortable, not tight at all, I highly recommend this one!

LOVE IT! My new fav pleaded skirt from Torrid! I have their pleaded skort, and love it as well but I wanted just a skirt too. It actually lays nicer than the pleased skirt. It's a more relaxed pleaded and it's more of a high waist fit but appropriate length for me to wear at work. It has a little stretch to it and it's very flattering! No pockets but I'll live with it lol I got a size 14 but might've been able to go down a size since I've been losing weight and there's some stretch to the material.

Love!!! More Colors plz!
This skirt is amazing! Hard to find mini skirt that are high waisted without your butt hanging out. Normally a size 14 but was able to size down to a 10 but my waist is small but I have love handles and thighs for days. Skirt looks flattering and in my top 10 fav things ever purchased from Torrid. Would recommend trying this skirt out if you’re thinking about it. Ref: I’m 5’5” and 198 lbs.

I wanted to love this skirt sooo badly. I bought my usual size and it was snug. Sized up one and still felt snug. Overalll it was just uncomfortable and dug into me. Has to return.

Really Bad Sizing
The incorrect sizing is frustrating! I'm 5'3", 200lbs, with a waist size of a little over 33", low hip is a little over 47". Ordered a size 10, which is supposed to fit a waist of 32"-34" based on Torrid's current size chart and it was FAR too large. I measured the waistline of the garment and it was a little over 36" inches around leaving me with inches of gap. I figured the skirt would not be quite as mini because of my height, but the skirt is definitely not even close to a mini skirt, (it lands a few inches above my knees when held at the waist), and frankly, it doesn't read as one for the model either who's 5'11". It's becoming impossible to find a skirt that takes into account a larger backside and is actually mini-sized, but I would have kept this one if the waist was actually cut correctly. I thought the material was nice, thick, and flowed well. It would have been very cute if it actually fit. I got it for about 60% off and thought that lower price was on par.
Two stars. The material and the way it falls on the body is nice, but calling it a mini-skirt when it isn't, being very overpriced at full price, and extremely poor sizing takes off three stars. Try it on in store if possible and buy it on sale if it fits, otherwise prepare to have to make a trip to the store or post office to return it and continue the search.
