Cute skirt.
Really cute skirt. I love the attached shorts. The material is lightweight and it has some stretch. I would say get your regular size. The skirt isn't really a mini on me, I'm 5'5, and it sits right above my knees.

Cute but could do better
I like the look of it and it fits but ther are a few negatives. It isn't stretchy at all, and because of having a zipper/ hook amd eye type closure, doesn't give at all. When seated, it's a tad too tight/uncomfortable. Also I wish I would have purchased a skirt without the shorts as the shorts feature are too short and my legs still rub together.

cute but hate side zip
mixed thoughts. Pros: fabric is awesome, soft, not to heavy and has good drape and swish. the length is perfect for big booty baddies like me, it covers without feeling too covered up, and the shorts lining is just added comfort and modesty. Cons: that side zipper construction! this skirt's fabric has stretch - i'm at a loss to why it doesnt have a partial elastic waistband... the zipper is gigantic, and the hook and eye is TINY and very difficult to get on and off. when its on, its awesome - but getting there, and then having to use the bathroom, for example, seems like a nightmare. last, the way the zipper is installed reduces the flounce of the skirt on the zipper side, and the zipper doesnt lay flat. not sure if im gonna keep this one...

One Fatal Flaw :(
I love almost everything about this skort. The fit, length, fabric, style are all fantastic. Unfortunately I have to return it because of its one fatal flaw. THE SIDE ZIP IS FULLY ATTACHED TO THE SHORTS. Why??? The skirt part would swish so nicely if only it wasn't sewn down on one side so it can't move. It just makes the whole thing feel lopsided and weird. Not to mention the zipper itself is quite bulky, and there's about an inch and a half of "tail" on it that sits right against your leg. Because, and I can't stress this enough, the zipper is attached to the undershorts. Torrid I'm begging you, remake this without the weird zipper, because if it wasn't for that I'd probably never take it off.

Runs way small!
The other reviews were NOT kidding when they said this skirt runs small has NO given or stretch in the waist. I went up in size and still couldnt get it close enough to close or zip. That is insane! Fabric is VERY heavy and hot.

Side zipper sadness
Side zipper and not true to size. I'm an 18 in jeans and bought an 18. I can't even get it to zip all the way.
The skorts are pretty long, and I do like the material. I am super disappointed because if I order up a size the skort will be too big everywhere else.

Zipper nightmare, SMALL
This skort runs super small (should size up at least one size), and the side zipper is a true nightmare. On the upside, it’s truly beautiful and the length is perfect, the shorts underneath are really nice but the waist is so small and the side zipper is difficult to pull up, (even without having it on, just putting it on a hanger since I idiotically took the tag off)! I wasn’t able to pull the zipper up when I tried it on, especially for us more curvey ladies, some of us have bigger lo-las and zipping on the side is difficult. I’m 5 feet nothing, weight 237 and I’m normally a size 16

If you have any hips and a BIG butt like I do it isn’t going to work, unless you wear tights underneath… But, if I am going to do that I might as well not even get wear this since it’s a skort. I couldn’t bend over! It’s wayyyyyy too short… but when I bent over, nah! It has what feels like boy shorts connected to it at best. I felt like I was showing the whole world my lady parts and I ain’t about that. May work for some and more power to you but if you have to bend over even the slightest, a whole lotta risky business.
